I used this as soon as it arrived , easy to put together and started first pull . when i went to stop it the second time the stop button was kaput , didn't work so had to stop it on the choke .Too much hassle sending it back for this and other than that it is an exellent strimmer , i would recomend it as i used it to cut a garden that was neglected and uncut for 2 years .Apart from the switch i sstill rate it 5 star .

slightly heavier than expected but no problem

Worked for two cuts, product then cut out. Managed to get it started again then it cut out again. After that it would not start. Luckily i bought through Amazon. So went through the return process (fantastic by Amazon as always) as was well within return date. "you cannot return this item" came up on final screen. Phoned Amazon and got a full refund but was advised they did not require the item to be returned? You can come to your own conclusions but it started alarm bells with me! Tried to get it fixed and was advised that its not worth it due to build quality. I bought this product on strong customer reviews very disappointed. I had the Einhell bushcutter which lasted 4 years of heavy use and was a great product but the bulid of this one is far inferior.

Assembly was reasonably straight forward (once I stopped trying to attach the wrong round thing to the main body!). The instructions are a little confusing but luckily there are not too many parts to put together. For anyone who is used to electric mowers and is tempted with something like this, don't bother. This is for heavy duty grass/weed removal. Too big/heavy/noisy for trimming the lawn. For anyone who has not used petrol lawn trimmers/mowers before you not only have to remember to take your petrol can to the garage with you next time (assuming you have already purchased one), you also have to purchase a small container of two stroke oil. Not particularly expensive but petrol plus oil plus possible purchase of container for petrol does add to the cost and the time before you can start using the trimmer. Electric ones can be used as soon as assembled. Admittedly with an annoying cable which gets in the way or is never long enough! Big disadvantage for me (as well as the weight/noise/smell) is the spool. I hate these things, the spool line never feeds properly in my experience. This one was no different, lasted about twenty seconds before the spool line disappeared.

Really good when gets going

The angle of the bent shaft means that the engine has to be lifted high in order to allow the cutting head to sit flat against the ground making the machine uncomfortable in use . Pity einhell only offer a straight shaft on the brushcutter . For this reason I cannot recommend this product.

After I'd worked out how to assemble this (!) and bought some two-stroke oil to mix with the unleaded petrol ... I found it started up first time and does the job of strimming grass and other small diameter weeds and small branches very well. The controls are simple and well positioned, and the 'bump' release to get more strumming cord released works well, unlike most other strummers I've used. My only slight criticism is the carrying strap worn over the shoulders - this is somewhat difficult to adjust properly and get the strimmer properly balanced for effective use. However, the big advantage of having a strimmer without a trailing electrical cable means much greater flexibility in use and the ability to tackle brush and other vegetation in difficult to access areas. I would not think it suitable for continuous professional use, but it is certainly sturdy and effective for a medium sized garden such as mine, used on a regular basis.
