Can work for patellla issues
Really liking it so far. I took it to PT to get it adjusted to my leg. I am currently recovering from a knee dislocation so this was right up my alley. My knee feels secure and it avoids the uncomfortableness of sliding my injured leg into a knee brace

Works well, easy to use
Works great! I tore my MCL in a ski accident and needed a hinged brace to keep my knee stable during recovery. This brace is very comfortable and provides great stability to my very unstable knee. It is a little heavy but the lighter braces without the side frame were not providing as much support. Its well made and is easy to put on and take off.

The mechanism used to lock in your custom size is aweful, but I still love the brace
Basically it's the sliding switch that locks it into place when you adjust it for your size, the switch is easily toggled into the unlocked position so I just kinda had to glue it place when I adjusted to my size, just a bad design choice. After wearing it for 10+ hours a day, several days a week at work where I do a lot of walking around, it wasn't terribly uncomfortable but it just depends on what kinda pants your wearing. After I glued it up, the support really does help my knee pain. Although it doesn't really seem like the mechanism meant to limit the angle of extension you can bend knee does anything. Just more cheap plastic switches that don't really do function or I broke without knowing, but I don't need it for that function so it doesn't effect me. Over all I think it's fairly solid brace, I'd definitely buy another of this style because it really does reduce the pressure on my knee and I sorta enjoy the compression of the straps which are accompanied by some very sturdy padding so it doesn't feel like a tourniquet. I don't really use the over the shoulder strap it came with but I can see why it came with it. Wearing it over pants can gradually cause it to slide down your leg. Driving with it isn't really an issue for me, but I wear it on my left leg. Once you figure out the strap length you like, it they velcro down and you really don't have to adjust them again because the Velcro is actually very strong quality stuff and they got a strong buckle thing going on. Although if you have a bathroom emergency, I suggest you start unbuckling yourself on the way cuz the last thing you want is to be standing in front of the toilet fighting to get if off just so you can pull your pants down lol

This should be a hard pass
My old brace was about to become trash, the velcro and straps were old and done. This brace looked promising so I gave it a try. What others users said was true- it slides down ( I think all braces do), the settings come unset for no apparent reason, the sliding setting to adjust the length between the straps comes undone easily, all of this I was prepared for and was pretty easy to catch and correct. The straps are great and the velcro holds up really well. What I was not prepared for was the "metal side stabilizer" to snap in half. I barely got any use out of it. I am thinking maybe I got a defective brace? Will never know since I will probably never hear from the seller. I have a blown out knee, I can't wait around forever to hear back from the seller. Buyer beware!

Mostly useful during the day, not so much at night
I really wanted to like this brace since it's so much cheaper than the one the hospital recommended. The problem however, my daughter just had ACL surgery and was told to wear a brace at night locked in the straight position. Well, the design of this allows it to easily unlock and that defeats the purpose. I wish the locking tabs locked in place. Regular movement at night should not unlock the thing that is supposed to be helping you. If you need a nighttime brace, I'd look elsewhere.

Easy to adjust and works as stated! I love it.
The media could not be loaded. First of all, I pulled it out of the box and literally only had to lay the brace on my table and spread it out big enough to go around my knee. Then I put it on adjusted the clasps and I had hangover Velcro, so I very easily took the end of the Velcro strip, where they it connects, undid it, cut it to length and put it back on within 30 seconds. And put it back on my leg and it fit perfectly. I was able to get the instructions to figure out how to set the range of motion Buttons and so far they are working perfectly. It does help to use the shoulder strap if you’re wearing a compression garment or something that your leg changes shape over the day or that is silky or something. But probably if you’re wearing denim and you have the brace on the outside or some other rough material. You won’t need to readjust except for the one time when you stand up after putting the brace on because clearly your leg changes shape , so far I love this brace the ease of figuring it out I didn’t need a physical therapist to come in and adjust the straps. I could do it all on my own. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I certainly am not.

Tibial Plateau fracture
Fractured my Tibial Plateau and my orthopedic dr recommended a brace I can bend my knee in and adjust angle. The dr office was going to charge me 1300 because while they accepted my insurance, they did not have a contract for medical supplies. I nearly bit the bullet before the surgeon came in and said check Amazon and get it for $100.This has been perfect, had it on for 4 weeks now. I can’t put weight on this foot for another 4 weeks and the brace has been nice. I recommend get a feather pillow that’s not too full and put it between your legs if you’re a side sleeper, for optimal comfort. This has been cooler than the straight brace the hospital gave me and I’m glad I can bend my knee, means less physical therapy.I have heard some squeaks here and there, though I’ve not worn the brace while walking of course so squeaks don’t bother me. Only happened for a couple days and went away. I’d say for the money I’d rather have some squeaks and save $1200. The medical industry is insane and we are fortunate to be able to order something for this price on Amazon.
