Herbatint Permanent Herbal Haircolour Gel 3N Dark Chestnut - 135 mL

I’ve been coloring my hair for 26 years since going gray in my late 30s and I can’t believe it took me so long to discover Herbatint. Athough I’m vegan and a passionate animal advocate and use as few chemicals and animal tested products as possible, for some reason I always seemed to hold onto my old hair color products. I have dark brown hair (Herbatint 3N) and every other product I used always needed to be redone after 3 weeks and left a large portion of roots an ugly pale orange color. I also always hated the waste of having to throw away half the bottle.I have recently finished my first bottle of Herbatint after using it for two months. I love that you can save what you don’t use for the following month and I love that after 4 weeks my roots are still a decent color. I believe that the harsh chemicals in the other products actually cause a premature fading in the hair they are supposed to be coloring! I also love how my hair feels and looks with Herbatint and even my husband noticed!Using this product is economical (can use twice), better for the planet (less waste and fewer chemicals), doesn’t use animal testing, better for our health (fewer chemicals and more natural ingredients). I will buy this product forever!

I loved the way my hair turned out after using your hair color! It would be nice to have your shampoo included in your kit for the after color washl!

I'm trying to buy as many products as possible cruelty free and hair color is a difficult product to come by. This one is cruelty free, natural and provides great coverage! I do feel like my hair was a bit dry after use and the color is DARK. You might want to go a shade lighter than you expect? It has lasted well without fading (unfortunately in this case because it is so dark). It is more complicated to use than drugstore brands; it's more liquid and there's no squeeze bottle so you have to brush it on. I made a huge mess with it. I do like that you can use some of it and save the rest which will come in handy next time when I just do my roots. Overall I really recommend it!

My first time trying this product, and my new regular brand. My bf has nearly a full head of grey hair, and mine is salt and pepper around the temples. Usually need to dye his whole head twice, and twice around my temples. This covered all of it once. I love it. You do have to buy an applicator separately, but worth it to me.

I loved this hair dye. My hair is naturally reddish, and can be hard to dye because the red always shows through. I used this months ago, and the color has lasted. It did a good job of mostly covering up the red. I also like that it's a natural product. I have very sensitive skin, and it didn't irritate me at all. The smell also wasn't off putting.

This worked to cover about an inch in length of very noticeable gray roots in my dark brunette hair. I've been coloring my hair to cover gray for 20 years. I'm 40 and want to feel and look youthful AND I am now committed to finding plant based and natural beauty products as much as I can. This dye covered my gray better than the salon color. Very strong color, is looking good now after 3 washes, much better than others. Slightly drying to the ends of my hair, but a deep conditioning seems to have helped. The "N" colors are strong and cover gray, though they are somewhat flat, but as the product box states, you can mix your own color combo and add another color for more dimension.

This product was extremely difficult to apply. And it doesn't come with the application tools. I had to purchase them separately. This box did come with gloves, but they were huge and short, so they didn't stay on at all and most of my hands and arms are now stained. The application kit I purchased separately was just as useless. There was a little measuring cup that you don't need, a drape that's wide and short, so it only serves to get in your way, and a brush. I guess the brush is fine... Additionally, why don't they give you an application bottle? It is seriously difficult to apply die to your own hair using a brush when you're not experienced with that.I'm so unhappy with the application tools and process that the die is literally still in my hair as I write this. I don't even know how the color turned out yet.I only tried this product in hopes it could replace my trusty old brand as I transition my cosmetic products to cruelty free brands.This whole experience makes me think more people would transition to cruelty free if it wasn't so stupidly difficult; if companies like Herbatint would put more effort into ease of use and availability.Proud to them for being good to animals, now it's time to think about customer experience.
