Malta and Gozo (Bradt Country Guides)

Apparently few Americans head to Malta, as I've had a hard time finding comprehensive information on the place (No Rick Steves, Rough Guide, Time Out, etc.) but this book is the answer to my prayers. I started with the Lonely Planet guide, but it's pretty basic. This is SO much more informative and gives a plethora of information on every topic you could imagine, including an expanded list of accommodations. While this guide is also written by the British, it includes helpful info for Americans and is just an all-around more in-depth guide to the islands (not that I mind British guidebooks, but I have noticed they have a different perspective on Europe than an American traveler may be looking for). I was not previously familiar with Bradt, but will consider them in the future for other trips.

I thought I was buying a used book but it looked like it had never even been opened. The guide is exactly what I was seeking in order to create an itinerary for our forthcoming week long trip to Malta. I just purchased the Malta Heritage Pass which provides admission to twenty or so museums and historical sits so the guide will enable me to carefully choose which to visit since there is not time to see all.

I bought this as well as Lonely Planet, and I like this one better because it's meatier. It has so much more detailed information than the lonely Planet book--was really a gem on the trip!

Good info for planning a trip to Malta. It seems to be based from the perspective of a traveler from the U.K. So the tour agencies listed are based in the UK but otherwise its great even if you're from elsewhere.

My son moved to Gozo and I wanted to know about the place. This book was perfect for letting me know what I want to know.

Excellent guide book with great suggestions. If you're going to Malta and Gozo, this is probably the best and easiest to use guide out there.

Extremely good guide. Helped me to hone in on what I wanted to do, how best to get around and even which hotels would work best for me. Thumbs up!

Bought it before I plan move on May 2018 so don't know how good it would be with facts.. but gives nice amount of information for a tourist and also for a person who is deeply more interested in culture too. I'm enjoying the book so far and it has great recommendations what to read more when interested about history etc.
