Sharp Santoku knife; nontraditional grip
Good knife came sharp and cuts decently though the Santoku indentations have proven more gimmicky than functional. Slightly less likely to injure due to sheeps foot like front of blade. Hollow handle is contiguous with knife and appears seamless but would not recommend immersing it (hand wash is recommended). It is a rounded square design. OK to grip but not safer than a more traditional flatter design. Has not been slippery, but would recommend care if hands are greasy. One star off mainly for the handle. The look is unique, but novelty aside, if I were to purchase again, I would buy the butcher knife from same company instead.

Good knife, not as fancy as they make it seem
I like this knife, very sharp from the start, and useful for sure. My only issue is the way they present it makes it sound more fancy than when you see it in front of you.

Sharp!
I’m impressed by the sharpness of the blade. This knife sliced through huge vegetables like they were water. Seems well balanced. I love it!

So far decent knife but...the sharpener issue
Only had the knife for a couple days, feels good in the hand but this isn't about the knife at this point. It's about the sharpener.Cool, they include one. It was what tipped the scales as I assumed it would have some kind of instructions. It does not. Not a single word about it on the pretty packaging. It has to kinds of sharpeners in it. I think one might be for traditional western blades and one for Japanese blades. But I am not sure. One side is a light color and the other dark, so this could actually be grit. Who knows and quite frankly that kind of pisses me off. By the way, there is no manufacturer website to look. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

I love this knife.
I have another knife styled like this knife that I use for veggies. I bought this knife for use with meats. It is pleasing to the eye, well balanced in the hand and performs exceedingly well on whatever I unleash it on. It’s extremely sharp and easy to keep sharp as well. In fact, I’ve started using it for almost all my cutting needs in the kitchen.
