Delivery was great. Discovered that these actuators are a later design. My 1997 Edgewater has older trim tabs as the brackets are riveted to the trim tab and later models are welded. The old actuators have a slot in the end that attaches to the tab to clear the rivets so I had to modify the attachment point to allow the screw hole to line up with the holes on the trim tab. BPITA but they worked fine, replacing the originals that were leaking.

I received an actuator that is the same size but the spring works the opposite way and its normal position is extended. So, the spring is above the piston. For shipping purpose I believe, it has a pin all the way through to keep it retracted. The problem is the holes for the pin make the actuator useless as any hydraulic oil will be leak. So, no way to invert the spring and also the part that is mounted in the boat is little different inside and cannot be used. I believe this actuator is some kind of defective design or assembly which is not as per the product described here. I hope I am the only unlucky buyer.
