Definitely like this Irish throw. Well made with cool details and I like the colors in it - subtle and soothing to me. Keeps me warm as I chill out reading or sitting by the fire. The material is good thickness, soft with a non irritating feel to it. The design brings back memories of my visit to Ireland. Plus love supporting entrepreneurs. They sent a postcard showing the whole “family” of weavers and a thank you for buying. Can’t beat that personal touch.

Look closely and each corner has an animal - a horse, a crane, fishes, a fox. There are two humans curled up around the center. These all are more obvious when the throw is oriented a particular way. I didn't think to look very carefully at the photo beyond the overall colors and movement of patterns, so was pleased with the details when we received it. My largest disappointment was that I was hoping for an overall shadings of green/olives/brown with some blue that it appeared in photo. While these shades are in it, the overall coloring appears cyan/turquoise/blue (more Blue with some green, than the more green with blues that I was expecting).Comparison with other cotton jaquard throws - I bought about 3 cotton jacquard weave throws at the same time because I needed something (I hope washable) to throw over couches etc to protect from various pets and people. (and I was trying to decide which ones worked best in the rooms) This one is fairly tightly woven with incredible detail considering these jacquard throws are relatively thick threads. The other one (at about the same price) was called Max in the stacks  Pure Country Weavers Max In The Stacks Tapestry Blanket 2876-T 54 inches wide by 70 inches long, 100% cotton (cat among books) which also was relatively tightly woven but overall the detail was not quite as striking. The third, was about 2/3 the price, a geometrical pattern of the Napa Valley Jacquard Woven Throw (by VHC) https://www.amazon.com/Valley-Jacquard-Woven-Throw-50x60/dp/B00KZPJOXY/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1485712579&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=napa+value+jacquard was very loosely woven and is snagging a lot more easily.If you really were hoping for green being the overall cast, this will disappoint, but if you're color schemes are compatible with blue with greenish tints, then this will delight you.I will try to remember to edit later when I've had it long enough to have tried to wash it.

I am very pleased with the craftsmanship and quality of this throw! The colors are vibrant and true to the Amazon listing. I would say that the design is very detailed. I was so happy to display it on my couch! I am looking forward to finding a coordinating design from Pure Country Weavers. They even sent along a thank you card with a picture of their whole 'weaving' family! I highly recommend. It's art and function made with love.

I had this blanket on my wishlist for YEARS and finally purchased it for our 5th wedding anniversary! I fist saw it in a Celtic shop asking $250... and I was very happy to purchase it for under $50! It is much nicer than I recall; soft, thick, and colourful... I have it hanging on our wall to keep it safe from our dogs, and the pictures are the view from our bed. The shipping was also insanely fast!I wish I had the spare cash to purchase another one to use a a shawl, it works well for that as well!

I bought this as a replacement for this same blanket I bought off of Pyramid Collection *(see bottom for details) about 4 years ago. My mother sold or tossed my old one, I was extremely unhappy...The old blanket was very vibrant and crisp. This one is soft and the quality is far from bad but it just doesn’t compare to the real one. I really wanted to like this but for $60+ is just isn’t worth it. I believe I’ve found the original artists website, Jen Delyth, and for a full size bedspread on her site it starts at $63 for a twin. I have a full bed so overall I paid $93 but that’s to cover my entire bed (from the original artist).I think the makers of this blanket have done a good dupe and if this is your first time receiving this item I’m sure you will be pleased. As for me, since I already had this blanket before it just doesn’t compare to my original.The pros of this blanket are that it’s very soft, well made, no loose stitches, and it’s made in the USA which I think it’s a nice plus (could also account for the price being a bit higher). It will definitely hold up nicely over a long period of time.The cons for me, which are unique since I had a previous version, are that the colors are a bit muted compared to my old one (the old one was a deep teal), the stitching isn’t quite as crisp, and it’s a bit smaller than what I had. I by no means think this is a bad product. It’s quite beautiful but I’ll be returning it in the hopes that I can find one to truly match the one I had.I’ll post pictures (the best I can find) of my old blanket vs this one. Some people might prefer this version.As for the Pyramid Collection I refuse to order from them anymore because they stole from me with their “rewards scam”. Don’t buy from that website. Try out this blanket from Amazon or buy from the original artist on her website.

The tapestry was not nearly as vibrant as I had expected. I still have it folded and will probably put it away. The design is cool, overall, would not recommend.
