Great product especially if your deaing with a hyper-active tough on toys child with sensory disorders
Well let me start off by saying we have a 7 year old autistic little boy who not only suffers from sensory disorder, and is completely non verbal but is also super hyper-active and suffers from a major sleep disorder. If you are parents or a parent raiding an autistic child similar to ours I highly recommend this product. It sure beats swinging our little guy on the outside swing at 1,2 or 4am. Not only does he enjoy this swing as an activity, but it is also very helpful in calming him dowm when he is having a melt down as well as him being able to cocoon himself inside with a blanket and pillow while being pushed aids in getting him calmed down for bed time instead of increasing his stimulation and adding to his insomnia at night. It is very easy to assemble and install, even though it comes with everything you need to install it I replaced the stock hanger and clevis with a higher weight rating. But that is just a personal prefference due to our sons rough and tumble ways. He is very hard on everthing. We have been using the swing for 3 weeks now and other than it needing to be tossed into the washer for a good cleaning which is very easy to do, it has held up to anything he can through at it. The only reason I gave them a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating is because it was supposed to come complete with a book on Austim sensory aids, and did not. Other than that we highly recommend this productUpdate,Product has been in use for about 2 weeks our little guy is getting a whole lot of use and enjoyment from it. Changed my star rating from 4 to 5 because the company was more than prompt at resolving our minor issue about the ASD book which I didn't understand is a digital download, not only did the respond promptly but were very appreciative of the purchase, rewiew, our input and are sensitive to the needs and situations that the parents, children as well as the special needs child faces. Thanks again for the support and making a product that truly helps us parents do a better job at raising their special little guys!!

Must-Buy for Children with Autism/Sensory Needs
We have been searching for this since we found through autism, and sensory disorder groups that these swing chairs really help children with these needs. We bought a single 250lb single-hook with 4ft of chain so we could hang this from a joist in our grandsons bedroom. Make sure to inflate the seat as much as possible, and if they are younger (he is 2), put towels or blankets around the edges of the inflated swing seat so they don't fall back into the swing so much. When he is frustrated or upset he will climb in and calm down. He also loves swinging and this satisfies the "indoor" swinging requirement since we can't be outside all of the time. Make sure to get enough chain so you can hang it low enough to the floor that they can learn to climb in by themselves; then as they get taller and older you can raise it higher. I highly recommend this product for its build-quality and sturdiness. I have no doubt this swing will last a long time. I also found the $80 price tag affordable compared to other models at much higher prices. Make sure to use the pump with your foot... using your hand... well that's just slow and not smart.Lastly - buy/use a hook/chain system you are comfortable with having in your ceiling, you don't need to use the plate that comes with it. Just make sure that whatever you buy has a load weight greater than the load weight of the swing so you don't risk it falling. Finding the ceiling stud/joist can be challenging with a stud-finder if you have popcorn/unflat ceilings... but stick with it, it will work eventually.

Toddler loves it!
Our toddler loves his "nest". As with all toys, etc., he has, my wife does extensive research before purchasing. This chair really helps with his sensory issues and soothes him in the process. He specifically asks to go in his "nest" and look out the window or just rock back and forth with his owls. We did have to prop him with a few pillows, since he seemed to fall in. Rather easy fix and makes it easier to get in and out.Installation was pretty straight forward after making a trip to the depot. The chair includes the mounting hardware, minus the lag bolts and rope/chain. I used 1/4" x 2" lag bolts (only two). Be sure to locate the studs and attach the mounting base as close to the center of the stud as you can. The last thing you want is for your child to fallout and never want to hangout inside the chair. Both of these are a must; the rope/chain is crucial if you have high ceilings (this particular room is about 10ft high). Take your time and do it right!

Son loves it.
Purchased this swing for my 3 yr old autistic son. Putting the swing up was fairly simple, screws needed did not cost much. All pieces were easy to attach. I will say, there is no lengthening or shortening piece that comes with it. If you attach it as is, it sits 2-3 feet off the ground, so you'll need to buy an additional chain and rock climbing hook (or something like these items) to make it lower and accessible for your child. (This is why I gave it a 4 star). The inflatable insert, bottom portion, of the swing is comfy. Doesn't need to be blown up all the way. That makes it uncomfortable for sitting for my little guy, so we have it deflated quite a bit so he can adjust and learn how to sit on it comfortably. Overall, the swing is great. It's not huge so it doesn't take up a lot of space. Light weight yet durable and strong. We will be using it quite a bit!Customer service was excellent. Prompt response when asking questions. Detailed emails and instructions for setting up the swing. All very thorough! Was given a discount in exchange for an honest review.

So far so good
Kids ages 3 and 2 have loved it so far. Once we got all the needed supplies, it was very simple to set up. The kids have played with it already for an hour tonight! We made sure to set it up far enough away from any walls because our kids are wild and would definitely hit the wall.
