In the first shipment I received, the first 30 or so bags were faulty with torn seams on one side. I did not go through every bag because there were just too many. Instead I returned for an exchange, believing it was just a fluke. Glad I did, the next shipment was fine.

I wish the brown paper was thicker. We have to "double bag" for anything that weighs more than a lb. Unfortunately finding this size bag is difficult - so we will reorder them ... until we find this size that is thicker paper.

This is the second time I've ordered these bags. They aren't exactly the same as the first bags, but I'm happy to say, for my use, they are even better. They don't have any text printed on the top edge and no half circle cut-out. Best of all they seem much sturdier; being made of slightly thicker paper(?). I use these bags for food waste recycling and I fold/roll down the top edge a couple time to help it hold up, and not having the cut-out makes it less-likely the bag will tear as I do that. I'm not sure what I'll receive next time I order but for now I'm pleased with this purchase and will order again.

My area recently went to food, scrap, recycling, and I have very little scraps that I would recycle. I use mostly frozen vegetables and such but I do have coffee grounds and occasionally peelings and eggshells. I didn’t want to get an icky trashcan because there’s limited availability in the condo complex for washing it out so I put everything in these paper bags, roll down the tops, and drop the bag into my recycling bin. That way I’m complying with keeping food waste out of the dump and I don’t have to deal with a stinky messy, trash bin.

The 20# brown bags I usually buy (for lining my compost container and also for disposing of scooped cat poop) were unavailable so I purchased these. Ugh, they are horribly thin, low quality, and a bunch of them are not sealed properly at the bottom seam (see photo). Hard to imagine these will hold up. Certainly not 20# worth!
