Kiwi, our senegal parrot LOVES this toy/perch. He climbs all over it. The only drawback is that the ends (top and bottom) are secured with a plastic tie and I cut one of them not knowing I wasn't supposed to. The entire ring is held together with the same type of tie so how was I to know... I am worried he will chew the other one and ingest some plastic. He hasn't tried yet and really loves this thing!I liked that this also came with perches that I thought would naturally file down his nails. Unfortunately, Kiwi wants nothing to do with the perches.

My parakeets love to hang out on the rope perch. I hang it from the window blinds above and outside their cage. If you provide nice comfy perches, they are happy to stay on those perches and do not fly all around the room, so the mess is contained to that one area. The two other perches are great, too. They rub their beaks on the rough surface and parakeets need perches of all different widths to exercise their feet properly. So I have all different styles of perches inside and on the outside of their cage. Just put paper down on the floor beneath all your outside perches to collect the mess!

I bought this for my parakeet since the reviews were so impressive. "Groot" my little man has joined the group of birds that praise this product. At least the rope.....He is on it all the time...loving it up; rubbing his head on it; he talks to it....etc. It is large for a small bird cage and it is hard to bend; but once you do get it bent into the position or shape you want...it holds nicely. The two perches that come with it....I haven't even tried to use as they are clearly for a much larger bird. If I am correct; it is a parakeet shown in the listing picture.....so I'm surprised they didn't include a smaller perch. My little guy is sooooo happy with the rope; and the price was fair...so giving an all star review....even without being able to use perches.

But liked. Always smaller from Amazon than expected. Better options exist.

The rope perch was a good purchase. I didn't like the wooden ones. Not good for my lovebird.

After recently learning we should NOT provide plastic toys for our Senegal parrot (they often bite off small pieces and can ingest them, causing medical problems and even death), we are switching to all wooden or natural fiber materials. The climbing rope toy will provide our bird with something safe to chew and climb on.

Sorry guys, but asked for perch that was for Cockatoo these are too small. And sand perches are not even recommended for small birds.

My bird loves these especially the rope swing. The only feedback I would have on the rope swing is it comes apart super quick.

Our Canary named Marvin LOVES his rope perch. In fact he loves it more than his wood perch and the pink and green perch that came bundled in this package. However beware, I read that some Canaries will eat the long threads at the end of the ropes perches which could cause serious health issues. Marvin spends most of his time on the rope perch and I suspect its because its more comfortable on his little feet. These little guys sing their heart out for us and the least we can do is to make them as comfortable as possible for as long as possible.

Indian ring neck loves this

I purchased for my Indian Ringneck Parrot’s cage and was really pleased with both the size and the quality. The rope spirals down nicely from the top to the bottom of the cage, making it easier for my bird to navigate its way up and down if it wants to. Also, the feed bowls in the cage I have are quite small for my bird to stand on so I put the two perches in front of each bowl so it has something sturdy and more suitable in size to support it when it’s eating and drinking. The texture on the perches is great too as it will help keep its claw length under control. Would definitely buy again. Great for medium sized parrots like IRN’s, Cockatiels, Love Birds, Conures etc.

I was looking for another toy that my 2 very small finches could enjoy. I found this rope toy which I fashioned into sort of a roller coaster which they could to play with. They spend a lot of their top hopping from one area to another or pulling on the tassels. It's well made and very strong and they use it to reach another hanging toy. They're having a ball.!

These have metal attachments for securing onto the cage . Superior to plastic attachments.
