Safety & Survival on the Fireground

Had to get this book for a class but it’s something I will hang on to and refer to after class is over.

Anything by Chief Dunn is excellent and well thought out. Many great chapters in here to know while doing high risk low frequency events (searching above a fire without a hose line, VEIS, etc.)

I recommend this book to all of my new firefighters. Its clear, concise and challenges them to think about their new profession. It was loaned to me when I was still on probation my my officer and i am continuing the tradition.

This is a great book, that reviews the basics of survival. Some stuff we may have already know but also some key points for the things we do not deal with everyday. I'm glad that I read it.

This book is pretty helpful, specially for Fire departments that are still building it's own personality, so it's a very good way to start thinking first in your firefighters and the way they behave in an Incident.Probably the cases described in the book are not new, some of them are from back to the 70s, but it fits pretty good in this new reality.Besides, it's a book that is easy to carry, so you can read it in almost anywhere.

Very good book. Dunn did it again.

Excellent book, author is one of the top five authorities on fire behavior and suppression in the world. Will look for more of his work.
