Meets my expectations. These light glass type bowls arrived to my house with no packaging product cushioning around the stack of bowls. There was no padding whatsoever between each bowl. You could even hear the glass like bowls crashing together in the packing box even before I opened the package. My gut exspectation was that I was going to open a box with bunch of glass that would come tumbling out of it. When I opened the box and saw that each beautiful designed bowl DID NOT HAVE not one chip, not one crack, not one problem that I could see I was shocked and presently surprised. Wow!!! Amazing product. I knew a man who had the Corrrel dish ware that was very ruff on his dishes. I often saw him kind of drop these dishes into the porcelain sink and wonder how in the world did he get by without breaking all of his dishes or at best chipping them. Well I don’t have any intention on handling my glass bowls in such a manner but I do have kids and I am very confident that these bowls that I purchased will be able to stay as pretty, very light weight, and beautiful for many many years to come. if you have the 18oz round bowl, just imagine stretching the corners out square and adding the slightest bit of height. they are perfect for soup and cereal and look nice too. true to corelle's name, they are light and sturdy.

These bowls are exactly what I wanted. Something durable that can hold up to young kids, and also a simple yet classy design. I am loving these so far. It's been a few months the and still no breaks or cracks!

My mother had the simple lines plates. When I saw the matching bowls, not in a set with plates, I purchased them as a gift for mom. She loves them! 22 oz. Capacity is great for soup, salad, cereal, etc. No more chips, stackable, dishwasher safe. Beautiful!

I LOVE Corelle's Simple Lines! I've had this set since I was 23. I have a set of 24, which includes the bowls, dinner plates, lunch plates, and coffee mugs.10 plus years later, the lines are still vibrant and nothing has chipped. They look like I bought them yesterday.They are dishwasher safe, even on the strongest and hottest setting. They are microwave safe too. The set is not heavy and some claim they feel delicate, but don't let that fool you. They are impenetrable.No matter how much fashion changes, Correlle's Simple Lines will remain stylish.

I had already bought the dinner and sandwhich plates and I wanted the bowls to match. I like the squared shape and the size, good for salad, cereal and soup. Easy to wash and doesn't need a lot of muscle ro lift. Great service for 6.
