Targus Chill Mat for up to 16-Inch Laptop, Black (PA248U5)

My laptop has a pretty high end graphics card, and anytime I play any kind of video or game on it, the internal fan maxes out and it still feels hot to the touch. With this cooling pad the internal fan never comes on, and the chassis feels room temp. Its a little on the bulky side, and the last one I had developed a very loud buzzing noise that made it impossible to use, but it worked like a champ for almost 3 years, so I bought another one (this is my second). Very good product, would buy again.

Not impressed with quality and features missing compared to others.Price was high and did not feel like it should be so expensive.It does keep heat down but is missing features other competitors have.no Power Switch , not adjustable.

I'll keep this review simple. To those who own a thinline laptop with poor thermal distributions, get this particular fan. I purchased other ones before, but they are big, they are ugly and quite frankly, don't work well.My computer is an 13inch M2 Apple Macbook Air and those things are notorious for running hot, and the computer clocking down on the CPU performance.This is a perfect for the summer. Keep your laptops optimal without it sitting on an ugly cooling pad. The size is perfect, the fan is silent and the design simply works.

My laptop is a 16" Lenovo yoga and it hangs off of the front and back. Fine for a tabletop but not for a lap-desk. It's loud enough that I want to wear earbuds. It's functional for my needs, but I'm not thrilled at all. The fans help cool the laptop so three stars for that.

This chill mat is really nice and keeps my gaming laptop cool. The fans do get noisy, but that isn't an issue for me.

This pad don't have all the flashing lights or sensors, but it is a good basic pad that keeps my laptop cool and doesn't make much noise. Note: I have a 14" laptop and the 16" pad was a good fit.

We bought 2 of these to keep our new Surface 3 laptops cool while in use. The first one worked fine for all of 3 minutes then one of the fans just quit then the other one started making a noise and started sticking, I decided to return it but not before trying both of them on our laptops The second one had a similar issue then got loud and one of the fans on the second one quit as well.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! These are the worst items we have ever ordered from Amazon and we're shocked we had this issue. It's a horrible cheaply built item very surprised Amazon would even sell such crappy product.

While this was a reasonable price, I do not recommend purchasing this fan. It started great, had much power, was a good fit for the laptop, and was quiet. Shortly after purchasing, I noticed my computer started to get hotter, despite the fan being on. I checked it and realized one of the two fans had already stopped working. I continued to use the product. However, it has stopped working altogether, with both fans malfunctioning after only three months of use. This was a waste of money and I am unsatisfied with it.
