I live in a house full of books, and the search for yet another bookcase is endless. This time, I optedfor a different look in our very traditional house. And I am extremely pleased with this open, slightlyindustrial, slightly kooky bookcase...it's going to give my traditional small bedroom/office a real breathof fresh air.There is no such thing as easy assembly in this house. My husband and I are mechanically challenged, and Ihave no patience. But, compared to some other items we've had to assemble, this one was a piece of cake.The package had actual directions that made sense, the hardware was neatly divided, all the holes aligned,and, even though we did the assembly in stages, it could easily be done in an hour or so with two peoplemore capable than we are.We are very very happy with this product.

Love these shelves! I have a sizable collection of hardcover art books that was threatening to topple my overstuffed particle board book shelf, so I upgraded to this set of shelves. Room for all of my books & then some! I deliberately did not fill each shelf with books so as to distribute the weight more evenly, but each shelf easily holds 100 lbs. Assembly was a little tricky at times when some screws needed to be coerced into fitting at the correct angle, but it was straight forward & just required a little elbow grease. I was able to assemble it on my own.Very happy with these shelves!

Real wood shelves that smell like cedar! Pretty and sturdy.

Real wood and metal shelf. There is no poly coating on the shelves so there is some roughness to them. Sturdy and great for an office space.

The bookshelf looks great and has sturdy real-wood shelves. The instructions (for once) were written very clearly, BUT the assembly was a big pain…parts didn't fit together, holes were misaligned. My neighbor, who is quite adept with construction projects, after much grunting, cussing, and manipulating parts, finally got it together. It seems quality control was missing in the manufacturing of this item. I gave 2 stars due to assembly headache not because of the look of the finished product.

Absolutely gorgeous. Super unique with the different color shelves. Easy to put together. Worth the cost!

I love this shelf especially the fun colors!

Likes: it's big and cute and fits perfectly where I needed a shelf for my books and things.Love the colors cuz they match my office rug.Dislikes: can't run your hand over it cuz you might get a splinter.I thought it was solid wood but it's multiple pieces glued together.The shelves might be slightly warped juuuuust enough so not all the screws go in to hold the planks in place.The black on the metal peels off.The little wrench it comes with for assembly is a pain.The bottom line: This for the price? Get something else and paint the shelves.
