After my wife's Android phone fell out of her pocket and shattered on the driveway we learned the value of a good case. When we replaced the Android with an iPhone 4S everyone said to get the Otterbox Defender. While the Defender does an excellent job of protecting the phone from my 2 year old (and my wife) it is bulky and ugly. Since I had 2 weeks to wait for my iPhone 5 to ship from Verizon I started searching for a case that not only offered good protection but also didn't add too much bulk and was pleasing to the eyes. Lifeproof seemed to make a good product but wasn't ready for the market yet. Most of the the other cases did not offer the same level of protection as the Defender. Then I found the Gumdrop. It seemed the best of both worlds so I ordered it. I finally got my phone yesterday and I am very happy with the case. It fits the phone well and seems very protective. It isn't much smaller than the Defender but I think it looks alot better. The built in screen protector works well and I like that all of the ports are covered. The rubber grip feels good in your hand and prevents it from slipping on a surface. There are both smaller cases and tougher cases out there but I think this one is a good compromise of the 2.

This is a good protective case that works well. I kept my phone in this case on a recent hunting trip so I could use it as my GPS, and it worked great. It would definitely protect the phone well if I dropped it, and keeps rain or snow off it, although I wouldn't let it get totally drenched as the speaker opening may let water get inside.It doesn't seem quite as tough or protective as the iPad version of the Drop Tech case, and the little plastic insert for the camera hole is annoying to keep track of when taking the case on and off. The rubber is good but seems a little soft and is easy to accidentally pop partially off when grabbing the phone, but it's a minor concern. The fit to my iPhone 5S is excellent. Overall, I am happy with this case.

Lightweight, protective, great-looking case. Dropped phone once already and the case did it's job perfectly. I love the tread-like grooves in the back. My forefinger fits in the grooves perfectly while holding the phone for a perfect grip. I like how the rubberized case keeps the phone from slipping off of slanted surfaces. My husband was impressed with the style/look of the case, which says a lot. It doesn't add the weight or bulk of other protective cases and it protects the phone from impact much better than hard plastic shells with no shock absorption. Great product.

I have never purchased a gumdrops product before, but when I looked at the reviews I decided to give it a try. This product hasn't failed me yet. The rugged design provides it with a good grip and when I drop it(which is rarely) it doesn't bounce around too much. Another thing I love about this phone case is the slim design, with other phone cases my phone seems bulky but, with this case(ha, what a good pun) that is not a problem. Furthermore I would like to state that I love the way that it has two shells- one hard plastic that goes underneath and then a nice hard rubber that goes on the outside.. oh and did I forget that it comes with a built-in screen protector? Well it does and it's easy to clean! I cannot fathom how much I love this phone case, it's so amazing and my phone has been kept in pristine-perfect condition. There's nothing more to say other than, thank you gumdrop cases for protecting my beautiful iphone5.

I can't afford to buy/upgrade to a new phone every time one is available. But I can purchase a new case and change up the look of my phone. I have used Gumdrop cases for the iPads my boys have and was rather pleased with the performance, look and durability. It was time to change things up and I purchased this case - at a great price - and gave it a try. It works well, and performs well and keeps my phone safe. It is a little bit more "grippy" than the cases I have had previously - but overall I felt it was a good purchase

I bought this for my wife's iPhone 5. Just trying to squeeze more life out of a good, aging phone. This case is very protective and has an excellent fit. The built in screen cover is an added bonus and works well. All of the button covers work well. There is a little bit of bulk added for protection. My wife didn't like it at first because she could now feel it in her back pocket. I thought that was good so maybe she wont sit on it so much and need to replace it :) Highly recommended for the iPhone 5.

When I bought my Iphone 5 I knew I wanted a cool case that offered great protection from slips or falls. I looked at so many cases my eyes hurt. The Gumdrop caught my eye and stayed at the top of the list. I bought the solid black and have been very happy with it. The fit is perfect, the feel is great. The phone is a bit slippery so this case gives you a great grip. The design is my favorite part. The Gumdrop looks fun while offering excellent protection. Not the cheapest case, but an excellent choice.

Gumdrop cases are the best. I drop my phone a lot and I've never had any damage. Really does a good job at protecting the phone.

I waited over three weeks for the delivery of my iPhone 5, in the meantime I got together everything I would need to protect what is an expensive gadget.I didn't hesitate and put in an order for the Gumdrop protective case. I have one of these on my iPhone 4S and my iPad 3 and if you read my reviews you'll see as to why I opted for this particular brand of protective cover.Now I know that some people like to show off their phone to the opposition, with the `hey look at what I have!' smiles on their faces, but the first time they drop it (and they will) as they pick it up off the floor you will see the look of anguish on their face.Apparently the new iPhone 5 which is made out of aluminium, especially the black anodised one, is susceptible to scratches, scrapes and nicks. This is not surprising as aluminium is a soft metal. If you don't mind the aged look of your phone, the worn pair of jeans effect, then by all means go without a case. If you are looking to sell the phone in a year or two, and want full resale value then protect it.The Gumdrop on my iPhone 4S has looked after my phone for the last year, it's been dropped from a ladder, fell off the car roof (35mph) as I had forgotten it was there, was left in a pocket full of sea shells courtesy of my son and dropped out of the window by my three year old daughter.It has not only survived that but also what I have put it through and it is still in pristine condition having spent most of its life out of doors.The new case is a little longer (to accommodate the longer phone) and has the same tyre tread pattern as the old one which gives it super grip when left on the dash of my car. It is however a few millimetres thinner and holding both the cases the new one feels better in the hand. This makes it more pocketable. The screen protector is as before, it works and does not seem to produce `oil slicks' like the iPad 3 case did. All in all it is the same case, why mess with what is not broken.Even though it is in the case, I still use a Steinheil Ultra Crystal screen protector on both the front and back of the device. Past experience has taught me that tiny little particles can still get into any case and rub away at the surface of the phone leaving marks. There is a plastic surround for the camera lens that fits into the back of the case. If bits of grit get in under the plastic surround it can leave small scratches on the glass around the camera lens. Be warned, use a screen and rear protector under this cover.Finally, this time I have not sold my old phone on, my wife has taken possession of it unlike her old Nokia (a good few years old) which has teething marks and dents all over it, she decided she needed something more up to date. Unfortunately she has now become one of those `look at my shiny phone' people. Ah well, who am I to reason with her? I'll just pick up the repair bill later. I will however still use my `I told you so' look when I do!

iPhone5sを使用しています。一般的なiPhone5sのケースから比較すると落下の衝撃から保護するという構造上明らかにゴツイです。ケースはポリカーボネートのフレーム、シリコンカバーの二重構造になっています。取り付けるときにはシリコンカバーを一旦取り外してポリカーボネートのフレームをiPhoneにはめ込みその後からシリコンカバーをはめ込むといった取り付け方法です。カメラ保護用のポリカーボネートの部品は外れやすいく引っかける向きがあるので注意が必要です。シリコンカバーをポリカーボネートにはめ込む時にコツがいります。シリコンカバーの四隅は出っ張っていて万一の斜め落下に対応する形状をしています。ポリカーボネートの枠には最初からiPhoneの液晶画面保護フィルムが装着されています。専用フィルのようなぴったりしたフィルムではなくあくまでも液晶保護フィルムの簡易版と考えてください。ポリカーボネートの枠をiPhoneにはめ込むときにどうしても保護フィルムとiPhoneの液晶画面との間に空気が入り込んで泡状になってしまいます。見た目は良くないですが使用上の問題はありません。自分は専用の液晶保護フィルムをiPhoneの液晶に張った状態の二重で使用していますのでポリカーボネートに付いている液晶保護フィルムが破れても問題ない使い方をしています。何度もポリカーボネートと液晶保護フィルムとiPhoneの液晶画面との間に空気が入り込まないように試みましたが駄目でした。まあ目的が衝撃保護ですから、あきらめています。ポリカーボネートとシリコンカバーを取り付けた後は結構な重さになります。ずしっとくるような感じです。持った感じは周囲がシリコンだけにグリップ感は予想以上に向上します。ポケットの出し入れにはそれが災いをして出し入れがしにくいです。逆に考えれば滑りにくいことになります。厚みも出ますので逆にiPhone自体のよわよわしい軽さや落としたらどうしよう！の感覚から完全に抜け出しています。ON/OFFスイッチ、本体左側のスリープボタン、ボリュームボタン、下側のイヤホンジャック、ドック部は全てシリコンゴムでカバーされていて簡単に埃が入らないようになっています。ON/OFF部分とボリューム部分はシリコンカバーが一体となっているので保護の目的から考えれば良いのではないかと思います。使用しているうちに開閉のくせがついてパカパカしないかが不安です。ただしホームボタン部もシリコンゴムでカバー保護されているので指紋認証機能は使えません。操作性はクリック感は100%快適とは言えません。その人の体感にもよると思いますが7割～8割と言った感覚です。それとポリカーボネートの枠が元々のiPhoneの液晶画面より4mm程高く設計されているので深みが発生します。太い指の方等は液晶画面の端っこの操作がスムーズにいかないかもしれません。カメラ部分も同様の深みが発生します。写りこみ、反射と言った部分はカメラをまだ使っていないのでわかりません。まだiPhoneを高い所から落としたことはありませんが生身のiPhoneよりは遥かに高い状態で保護してくれる安心感はあります。無造作にiPhoneを扱っても衝撃吸収力はあると思います。一種の保険のような物だと思います。液晶画面の空気が抜けないので星4つにしようかと思いましたが自分的にはデザイン、コストパフォーマンスから星5つとしました。自分的には大満足です。
