The best concealer. Great all day coverage

Was a bit sceptical about buying this after reading some of the reviews but I thought I would give it a try anyway with the good price. I am so impressed with it, it is very white like others have said but looks fine when blended in well (I have just used my usual blending brush & went over with a sponge- which I would do with any concealer anyway), it works so well on dark eye circles and covers blemishes well too. Doesn’t crease under eyes at all even after a full day which is great. Looks great & leaves eyes nice & bright even under foundation, have also worn on its own with just a bit of powder/bronzer on & I love it, so happy!

After watching many reviews for dark circles decided to get this. Prefer to buy from amazon as direct from elf can take over a week compared to amazon next day delivery. However I did check my shade from the questions on elf website, turned out light sand. I've never been a sand before as I'm a light neutral. I was also aware that this product oxidises due to reviews. When it arrived it was so pale but as it dried down and darkened it so happened to be the shade I was looking for! I experimented with different skin preparation as this it a thick full coverage concealer. Found either, tiny drop of face oil, hydration serum or dry quick moisturiser was the best. You have to work quickly with product as it settles fast. No need for crease or setting powder as it does it on its own. Found a powder dried it out and brought attention to wrinkles which is not surprising on a thick full covereage concealer. Found that less is more with the application.

I have dark under eye circles. I used this product together with “ELF putty coloured under eye brightener”. I took a guess at which shade to purchase, and have to say it matches my foundation and skin tone pretty well. The concealer is easy to apply. I used the applicator first, but then blended the concealer with my fingers. I took note that other reviewers said that you had to blend it quickly, before it dries. I am not great at applying makeup, but I managed apply the concealer before it dried. It did a good job. My dark under eye circles were well hidden. The concealer stayed put all day. Even when I factor in the price of the under eye brightener, it is an awful lot cheaper than my regular concealer and has just as good results. I will definitely purchase this concealer and the brightener again. Just tried the “medium sand” shade. This was even better than the “medium neutral” shade that I tried first. It appears thicker and really easy to apply. Lasted 12 hours before I removed it and covered my dark circles brilliantly.

Lovely concealer, but it does oxidize into a much darker shade. This reason go for a lighter shade if you are planning to use this to brighten the eye area.

Only concealer I use that is nice and thick. Good coverage. Doesn’t break out my skin. Have worn for years.

I have used ELF products before - blusher sticks- and have been very satisfied with them; that's why I gave this concealer a try. The shade I chose was fair beige, as I have a fairly pale complexion. What I received bears no resemblance to the nice beige shade featured at the top of the page. Fair beige is almost white, and I would have looked like a French mime or a kabuki if I had applied it to my face directly. Thankfully, I tried it on my hand first. It certainly has a very thick texture and warrants the full coverage description. However, once on, it stays on and stains the skin. I'm now on my third hand wash since applying this product to the side of my hand, and there is still a definite white stain and chalky residue left on my skin. Only too glad it's not my face I have to scrub to get rid of it! To recap: ridiculously pale colour and very difficult to remove once applied. This concealer is heading straight for the bin.

This concealer is good for those with pale skin and want a concealer that’s exactly their skin shade and blends well with foundation! it gives a glow underneath my makeup. But it dries very quick so I make sure to keep my face well moisturized before apply this.

This is honestly almost slightly better than tarte. It’s got great coverage that you can later and looks smooth to finish on my not so young eye :) My great makeup bag discovery. Whooopie doo!
