Finally!
With 2 young children who are gluten free, I have missed serving them a lot "fun" childhood foods. I am so glad to have found this company! The animal pasta is so cute and tastes just like the other lentil pastas we buy (pasta-like texture, nutty flavor, goes well with all kinds of sauces). This instantly made it's way into our pantry staples.

Only one box was shipped, not six
The product itself is fine, but the seller only shipped one box instead of the case of 6. It is a food item, so it could not be returned and I had to reach out to Amazon customer support for assistance.

distinct taste of red lentils with a firm consistency
Review of: Tolerant Organic Kids Red Lentil Galaxy Pasta, 8 Ounce BoxThis ‘legume pasta’ is unlike almost any other pasta I’ve tried in the past. In comparison to wheat-based pasta, this red lentil pasta has a very distinct taste and a chewier texture. My first taste of the red lentil ‘pasta’ was as a stand-alone side dish. I cooked the pasta, as per package directions, for about 9 minutes. For me, this resulted in a texture or consistency that was very al-dente; there was no taste of crunch, as if the pasta was under cooked, but the pasta was chewy; chewier than I normally cook pasta. The taste of the pasta was truly a taste of red lentils; not a surprise as the only ingredient listed is organic red lentil flour. As I like red lentils, I found the rich, husky flavor to be a very nice change of pace from wheat-based pasta which far too often has little flavor on its own. I added a little butter to the pasta and that produced a tasty side dish.A 8 ounce box of pasta, according to the package, makes 4 servings and I found this to be an accurate number of servings of cooked pasta. The second day, using the left-over pasta, produced a pleasant surprise. Heated up with some cheese and some seasonings, the pasta made a remarkably good version of cheese enchiladas. The consistency of the pasta, along with the red-lentil taste worked really well with the cheese and seasonings to make for a quick, easy and appetizing lunch.I like the taste of the ‘pasta’ and I like that the pasta is wheat-free, gluten free and low in fat. And, I especially like that the Tolerant Red Lentil pasta has 6g (21% rda) of dietary fiber. I plan, next time, on cooking the pasta a little longer, perhaps 12-14 minutes, and seeing if that will reduce some of the firmness I found in my first taste test.

Not good
My kids wouldn’t touch these after one bite (and neither would I). I made them once with with sauce, once with butter and salt, and once with cheese and no matter what I did to them, they still tasted bad. I’ve had a lot of lentil pastas before that were great, but these are not it. Now I’m stuck with a bunch of these left and have to throw them all away.
