Q: What is the actual color? Pictures are unclear as some look black others gray.

I have four of these figurines and they are truly predominately black ... the gray you see is simple to give texture; not color. As a raven lover, I really like them.

Q: Is this a crow or raven?

I bought it as a school mascot for The Ravens, but it does resemble a crow. Honestly, unless you (or the recipient of this bird) are a real bird scholar, it could be considered either a raven or crow.

Q: What is the height of the bird by itself? It says the item is about 6" and I'm wondering if that is measured with or without the tree stand. Thanks!

The bird itself is 6" and with the tree stand it is about 6 1/2". Thus the bird's tail in the back reaches a 1/2" above the table it sits on. I hope this helps!

Q: Will it withstand outdoor use?

Mine has always been on display inside so I'm not sure how weather resistant it is. Its made of resin, so I don't think it could withstand freezing cold temperatures. Not sure about heat or sun.
