A: The clipper will cut finger nails. It’s not meant for toe nails, but will cut them if they are not thick.

**Q: As soon as I press it, it stays closed. I have to manually open it back up after each press.Why won’t they open up on their own after you close them?**
A: That definitely sounds like they are defective. I’ve ordered 2 sets and both of them open back up immediately. I would return those.

I love this trimmer set. It is durable and easy to use. The pieces are metal and will last for a long time. The grip is easy and they can be soaked for cleaning without any damage to their color. The color is beautiful and appears as if it was made of metal that color. These are normal size for adult hands.
