Great set for 40 dollars!
I purchased this set a while ago and I love it. It is very sturdy, has a lot of play value, and looks really good. However, there are some minor issues: 1. The mech's legs are too short for its body. The only problem this raises is the fact that you cannot pose it very well.2. The set includes no shoulder pads for Clay. This is just a minor issue, but I thought that you should know that before buying this.3. The giant sword is placed at an awkward angle. This is also a posability issue. That said, I think that you should buy this set for someone ages 7-14. A younger child would have trouble with it.

Well made set
What a terrific lego set. As an adult collector, I found the build quite enjoyable. The Nexo knight line is at an end. Which, to be honest, does not surprise me too much. It had some great sets come out, and some rather bland. However, the last few series had some stand outs. This is one of them. The minifigures are fun. Actually, Clay is the best one. He's plain, but cool. The big bad guy is really cool too. However, Monstrox (the green element on the crab thing), is a little useless. I don't understand the build. The legs fall off (not enough upward articulation), and it has a strange bottom piece that seems like it should attach to something else. No matter, you can take it off. It is Lego, after all.The main mech is super. Although the legs aren't extremely articulated, you're able to do a variety of poses, and it holds them stable. I think any more knee articulation would have made it useless. The arms are great, and new and neat way to attach them at the elbow.Overall, completely worth it. The color scheme is cool, and the figures are great. Get this one before gone.

Double robots, OMG!!!
First they gave us mechs. Then Lego upped the ante by giving us a mech that can ride in a bigger mech! This set features numerous exciting play options when built per instructions, with two small platforms for the "holographic" wizards, a handful of weapons, and a large mechanized she'll that is compatible with both the included Nexo Knights mech and any of those released previously in the line. As parts go, MOC builders will find plenty of ball joints, sockets, plates, panels, windows, stud launchers, and other useful bits. The Nexo Knights line may have been overshadowed by more popular Lego series, but sets like this one demonstrate how their designers pushed the envelope.
