I wanted to install a Garmin Mini dash cam 2 in our new 2021 Ford Bronco. I thought I would have to hard-wire it to the vehicle, or use the super-long USB cord that comes with the dash cam. But then I learned about this little adapter that plugs right into the back of your rearview mirror and powers the dash cam directly from there. So I thought I would give it a try… It works perfectly! There are no dangling wires, nothing to have to stow behind the window trim. Simple as can be. I should add that my Bronco is a Black Diamond with Mid package. I don’t know for sure if every model has the plug in the back of the mirror. But if your Bronco does, this adapter will work. Now, here’s the only caveat: With this device, the camera powers on and off WITH THE VEHICLE. So if you want your camera to stay on full-time (in Parking Mode), you’ll have to get the adapter the Garmin sells that keeps it powered full-time. This is not a problem for me, because I don’t need the camera to be on all the time. I just want it to work when I’m actually driving. With this Dongar adapter, that’s exactly how it works…

Works/Looks great in my 2018 F150 XLT. Easy install…nice not having to run my wires around the roof. Paired with a Garmin dash cam that has the type-C connection.

I always wished auto manufacturers would put a couple USB ports on the back of vehicle mirrors. One with constant power, one switched. Would be great for dashcam installs. This product made that wish come true. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Easy install. Unplug the existing harness, plug this device in, plug the harness into the device. Connect your dashcam with one of the 3 supplied shorty cables, and you're up and running in no time. I have a 2024 F150 powerboost, and this works perfectly. No issues with start/stop or when running on gas/hybrid/electric. When you're ready to purchase this, be sure to count the number of pins on your harness to make sure you get the right one. My truck uses the 16 pin harness. Suggestion for an enhanced product: Incorporate a rechargable replaceable lithium battery that could provide power for an hour or so after the vehicle is turned off. Super easy to install. Fit perfectly on the back side of my review mirror and allows me to connect my dash cam without ruining wires all over my car.

Easy to use and setup.

I use the Dongar to power a Garmin X110. After some initial set up problems, it works fine. I use this in my '26 Ford F250 Lariat. The set up problem is that the USB C cable to supply the power from the Dongar Power Adapter to the camera worked intermittently. Once I replace it with a new USB C power cord it works fine.

Super easy to install and no more power wire getting in the way. Just a side note I ordered the wrong one originally and they took it back with zero issues. I would recommend them

I got a new dashcam this summer and once it started to get cold, it started to drain my car battery. After needing a jumpstart 5 times, I had had enough. I saw this advertised on Donut (YouTube channel) and thought it would be worth a shot. Easy to install and works perfectly. This is an amazing product and my dash cam now turns off on its own when I turn off my car. Truly a game changer

Works great in my 2019 Mazda CX-5, even though it says for Ford vehicles. Check how many pins your mirror has and buy accordingly. Works great and prevents having to run cables. My only issue is it will only run the camera when the car is running, so if you want to run your 24/7, this won't do that.

Plug and play in my 2021 F150 lariat. I saw some complaints about wire being too long or hard to find but that wasn’t my experience at all. Stuck sticky pad to back of mirror on passenger side, away from sensor, and can’t see any wiring from driver seat.
