Even though my old insert was 5/8 wide by 3/8 thick, I was worried this may be too thin. There is confusion also on manufacturer's website, that shows it as 5/8 x 3/8, but yet a picture with dimensions that shows 5/8 x 5/16. The molding that arrived was 5/8 x 3/8. Unfortunately it is sold only in 50' and 250' lengths. I needed 60' so I ended up stubbing in part of old insert across the transom. Why not sell it by the foot? Only reason I dinged product was that reason.

This was a direct replacement on my 1990 Bayliner Capri. I wish they still made it in red, but the black looks nice. Soaked in some hot water in a cooler while installing to make it a little more pliable, and it went in fairly easily.

The rub rail was the right size that I ordered and worked great. It is a little bit difficult to install but once you get the hang of it, it goes together pretty good. It really spruced up the looks of my boat.
