HoneywellC7189U1005 Hardwired Indoor Remote Sensor

This wired remote tells the VisionPro thermostat the temp, in any indoor space, where the remote is mounted. It does not sense humidity. I put one in my master bedroom, because the thermostat was in a non-related hallway (not even served by the same heat pump). You'll need to program your thermostat to use the wired remote temp sensor. If you don't have the installer pamphlet that came with your thermostat, search the model number online and find a manual for installer programming. The code to enter programming is on the back of the thermostat, when you remove it from the sub-base. There will be a sticker with four digits. If you can't run a two conductor cable from your thermostat to this remote temp sensor, you can buy a wireless indoor remote temp sensor, instead. I also recommend adding a wireless outdoor temp sensor. With an outdoor sensor, you can program your thermostat(s) to lock out electric or other aux heat above a certain outside temperature. That's the only way you can prevent aux heat from turning on, when you raise the temperature setting manually by 2° or more. A single outside wireless temp sensor can be associated with multiple VisionPro thermostats in a house. For any of the wireless accessories, make sure your VisionPro has the RedLink feature. Bill Henry is correct! This is not the right picture but the description is correct and is exactly what I needed. I think the picture is of the "junction box" that goes with the C7189U if you want to have 4 or 8 remote temperature sensors to use temperature averaging throughtout your house. The RTS is small as it should be, 1 1/2" wide, 2 1/4" tall and 3/4" deep, almost invisible on a white wall.It works great and solved my problem without having to move the thermostat to where I installed the RTS.This was the 2nd time I ordered from Plumbing Planet and again they were great. When I ordered it, the "quantity in stock" said "1" which worried me a little. But I ordered it late Friday afternoon and it was at my front door the following Tuesday using UPS Standard.

We have these all over our campus on Ecobee thermostats and they work well. We only have to adjust the sensor if the wire run is long. I took off a star because once they are mounted to the wall, the cover seems to come loose with very little pressure—even when we barely tighten the mounting screws.

Installed this in a building that had the thermostats located on the opposite side of the room from the returns. It had been this way for 20 yrs. Installed these above the returns and configured the thermostat to look at them. Auditorium temps now stable within 1 degree and most everyone is comfortable most of the time. Completely changed the climate of this building for the good. Very easy install. Does require 2 conductor thermostat wire to be run from the unit to the thermostat.

This product is inaccurate! Do not buy it. I've bought a couple thinking the first one was bad. Apparently they're both crap

Installed with no problems. Connected it to the indoor sensor 1 & 2 terminals on my mainboard (equipment interface module). My thermostat, Honeywell VisionPRO IAQ HONEYWELL Thermostat VisionPRO IAQ TH9421C1004, allows me to select the temperature at the new sensor or at the original thermostat or the average between to the two.As mentioned above the picture is wrong.
