This thing is very compact and can fit in my backpack for those first sits in my stands for the season. Branches tend to sag or grow in the way over the summer and it is great to have something on hand to get rid of them. It is very sharp and easy to use. It can be extended one section at a time to make the length fit whatever is needed. I was very surprised by the reach of this once it was fully extended. If I lose this one I will buy another. Great tool.

TL;DR: performed flawlessly for a quick job around the house and clearing out some heavy, thick brush in the woods. Ordered this product back in June '19 for a branch that was intruding on my front porch/ upstairs window. Needless to say, it made very short work of that. Fast forward a few months to the start of hunting season (Oct/ Nov). We needed to put up a few stands and perform some long-overdue maintenance on a fourth. We allotted ourselves the entire weekend seeing as going into it, we all knew it was going to be a lot of work and didn't think 1 day was enough to knock it all out. To make a longer story even shorter, we were able to get all 3 stands up AND cut out shooting lanes for all 4 stands by the early afternoon on the first day! About the only flaws I found with it are: 1) price. it's not unreasonable but wish replacement blades were cheaper; 2) you need to be careful of the cutting angle on it. had to try to bend the blade back into a "straight" line a few times when it got away from me being fully extended All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and so were the people helping me that day since they already purchased one for themselves.

I have several of these saws and purchased this one as a gift. They are awesome. The saw is the sharpest I have ever used. The pole extends and stays were you want it . You don't have to add pressure when you are cutting. The weight of the pole and the saw are enough to do the cutting. I maintain the shooting lanes and ground brush on over 20 deer stands a year and some are very remote. This tool makes the job much easier.

I went for years bow hunting from tree stands and only using a hand saw. When I had an opportunity at a monster that was covered by a hanging branch that was impossible to shoot through did I realize that I needed something with reach to get pesky branches out of the way. I've since climbed that tree and eliminated said "pesky" branch. Now I have a great shooting lane. This is easy to carry into the field and is SUPER sharp! Makes cutting a breeze. Would buy again and again.

The good: Very sharpe blade, easy to manuver, sturdy I-beam extension, compact, lightweight and easy to carry, especially when carrying other gear. The bad: The saw clips on to the side of the extention with two plastic knobs. These are weak. One of mine broke on the first use. Also the blade is short and straight and because it's light it takes a while to cut even small (3"-4") limbs. The knobs aren't so much of a problem, I can put the saw in my pack or in a pocket. Over all this is a good saw that I would recommend. PS. Called Hooyman about the broken knob and they were ready to replace the extension with no issues. I elected to keep mine. Looks like they have great customer service if you do experience a problem.

The tool is very eficiente,the blade is to sharp turning the cut process more easily ,and the telescope pole give you more possibilities to reach the high branches ,I brought one to Brasil and all folks was impressed how good is the tool!

Very handy for setting up treestands, and clearing shooting lanes. Compact and easy to carry/transport. Gave 4 stars because it is a bit flimsy at times especially when fully extended, and no back and fourth when cutting just pull towards you and use the weight of the saw to cut the branches/limbs.

The one latch doesn't seem to stay locked very well and I had to sand the connection point being it was extremely tight. But once that was done, it seems to work excellent 👍🏼
