Bugs Bunny 80th Anniversary Collection (Blu-ray)

Like many I was not interested in the Funko Pop figure, but I did not boycott this release or decide to wait until they sell the Blu-Rays on their own. If people don't buy this set we may never see the cartoons released on their own anyway. And I would like to see more Blu-Ray releases of WB cartoons. If they don't sell they will not release more, many classic cartoons in HD will be stuck behind the paywall at HBO Max, which is a rental.Rant aside, this set is a gem. There are about 10 cartoons here that were also on the Platinum Collection Blu-Rays, which themselves did not sell well enough to warrant more than 3 volumes and are now hard to find. Some cartoons here are on disc for the first time, some in HD for the first time and others getting their aspect ratio fixed to the proper 4:3. Most of the extras were released before on the Golden Collections. The picture quality on all the cartoons is incredible.If you like Looney Tunes please buy this. If you don't want the Funko Pop sell it or give it away. The figure comes in it's own box so it's brand new. I got the set for $55 and we may see it on sale for less around Thanksgiving.

Worth every penny. The best of the best. My only disappointment was the scan code expired in 2021 so I can't put it on another device to take it with me places. But the DVDs were as I said worth every penny.

I waited to write this review until I had settled the matter, but this set is a 5-star set, once you get the correct digital code. The shorts are incredible and look/sound incredible, with many of these being available for the first time. If you're a Bugs Bunny completist, then this is the collection set to get.As for the digital code, I was supremely disappointed that it didn't work. However, one quick email to WB with photos of my code insert, and proof of purchase, and they got me a code that works within hours. The customer service from WB was exactly what I would expect, and they did the same thing when the Batman Animated Series dropped by up converting the SDX to HDX, so WB is A-OK in my book.In short: get this set and adjust your expectations that the code might not work at first, but you will be taken care of.5-star experience for the customer service response and the incredible Bugs Bunny content.

Disc and packaging were fine. Menu leaves a little to be desired. Looks very early 2000s and is clunky to navigate. Despite what other reviewers have posted, emailing WB about the expired digital code got no results. In fact, they chastised me for not paying attention to the expiration date on the packaging. I really don't understand this. If the product is going to be sold new for say, 10 years, then the digital code should be good for 10 years. Having them expire seems so unnecessary. I will think twice before purchasing WB products with digital codes again.

A must buy for any Looney Tunes / Bugs Bunny fan!

Bought this for my hubby for Christmas. He is always looking for Bugs in HD. I was worried about the expired digital code, but ordered this anniversary set anyway. Was ecstatic when I was able to redeem the digital code and add these to our VUDU library!

I was so happy when I found these, I have nearly episode of Bugs Bunny that I loved when I was a kid but a few, these Blu-ray's took care of all the ones I was missing except for a few. If you want to just sit on the couch and smile for a few hours I strongly recommend getting these. My only complaint was the stupid doll that came with it. I wish you could have bought the Blu-ray's without the doll.

Yes, the packaging is horrible...and the ugly figure will turn off most Bugs Bunny fans. But the great news is that...the CONTENT is FANTASTIC. Yup, these cartoons have never looked this crisp before. And there are many that weren't on previous collections. So my advice is...GET these damn blu-rays before this sells out...and then just discard the packaging. Well worth the price. Looney Tunes fans unite !

Well what can I say about bugs Bunny .!!?? All I can say is I’ve been watching this elusive wabbit since I was a Kid . And keep watching til a dry up wilt and fall off my chair .!!! Ehhhhhhh !!! What’s up Doc???

I stumbled upon this on our Amazon (UK) website as a US IMPORT. At around £56 including delivery from the states.Being a huge fan of Bugs I placed my order straight away and waited for it to arrive.In the box you get a pop funko figure of bugs, an introduction letter from a guy called Jerry Beck and most importantly a 3 disc Blu Ray set containing 60 fully restored Bugs cartoons plus extras such as commentaries and featurettes . It should be noted that the bulk of the features have already been released on the “golden collection’’ dvd boxset.There was a brand new documentary on bugs 80th birthday which was nice to watch but I doubt you’d watch multiple times.As for the cartoons all have pristine picture and sound which was nice to see, you wouldn’t know they were made over 60 years ago . There’s pretty much some from every decade including fan’s favourites what’s opera Doc? And Oscar winning Knighty Knight Bugs . If I was being picky I’d have liked Broomstick Bunny included as it’s one of my favourites but it was nice to slip a disc into the player and indulge in wall to wallbugs instead of lesser favourites like the golden collection boxset includes.Lastly this is a limited numbered edition of 30,000 so grab it while you can.

If I am being honest, I bought this just for the Funko pop. However it was a nice addition to receive the Bugs Bunny cartoons. The download code did not work at first but eventually it ended up going through. Now I can watch these shorts anytime I want as they are stored on my YouTube (google) account.Everything came in great condition.A must have if you are a Funko pop collector and a fan of Bugs Bunny and Looney Tunes in general
