Incredibly Useful - I bought a 2nd!
Pik stiks and other lesser grippers have pretty severe limits. Ever try to pick up a single sheet of paper without damage? I find this simple device makes life in a wheelchair a whole lot less burdensome - especially as I have tremor induced "drop everything" syndrome. Between the magnet for keys or scissors, etc, the hook for small fabric or handled items and especially the incredibly versatile sticky pad, this thing saves me many daily curses. The soft foam covered handle stays clean and is easily gripped, There are even brackets for use with a hand strap like https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XTLHP4X/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (not supplied) if you - like me -use one to assist in gripping.Do pay attention to weight limits. I had the magnet/hook come off my first unit because of an overweight lift. It's only press-fit in place. I used a drop of instant/super glue when reattaching, and it's now sturdier. Also, I found it best to ignore the cleaning direction for the sticky pad. Clean it with a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol and it will stay like new for years. I bought a second unit when the thin rubber retaining strap for the cap broke after years of daily use. I still use the older unit in the library (a fancy name for a wide passageway filled with books) and bought a new unit for the study where I spend most my waking hours.

Happy overall a couple minor nits to pick...
Product works well, has done good job of picking things up, but has a couple minor flaws that keep it from getting a five star rating.IMHO I would not mind if the handle was a little less bulky. I don't need a heavy foam grip, just a plastic case around the two rods would do... On the same theme, it would be nice if the heads could be arranged in such a way as to be a little less bulky when the unit is telescoped closed. The big selling point for me on this reacher was that it is compact enough to carry around with me - a bit more effort to make it even smaller would be helpful. The other significant issue that I notice is that the cap on the sticky pad does not stay on very solidly - some screw threads or some variant on a "child proof" medicine bottle cap to make it stay on more securely would be nice for me (though it might be a challenge to design both good cap security and keep it easy for those with more limited hand strength to use It would be helpful to at least put a short lanyard on the cap to keep it from getting completely lost (and there is a small hole in the cap for this, so I can at least add one myself...)Not included in the product, but a possible useful accessory, would be a short "leash" with a Fastek type buckle on it so that you could attach the reacher to a wheelchair and have it handy but secure... (suggestion for the manufacturer?)Despite the minor issues mentioned above, I do feel that this is an excellent product for the types of reaching tasks it is designed and advertised for. It won't do everything that a "claw" reacher will do, but no reacher is good for everything, and this unit's portability makes it a winner, as it is capable of quite a bit, especially in picking up dropped objects...

This is a great product but not for me because of the limits on my hands. Handle to wide for me. But excellent product and company great 5 star customer service. Ordered other products from them.

Compact Size Makes It More Practical than a Reacher
This tool has been available for many years, yet I suspect these have become less necessary as claw-like reachers have dominanted the market. The primary advantage of this tool is the compact size and multiple functions for grasping/hooking items that are 1 lb or less. The magnet with hook, washable/reusable adhesive disc and secondary hook, serve many functions. The handle shaft is thick yet this is likely due to the enclosed telescoping tool shafts. The accessory strap is no longer available, yet a typical cane wrist strap fits just as well. The original strap would likely still be necessary for those unable to fully grasp or close the hand.

Great Buy but,,,,,,,
As a paralyzed disabled veteran, of course I need things so I can keep my independence. This little gadget is pretty nifty. But the one I have, the little cap that covers the sticky picker upper won't stay on. I'm using a couple of rubber bands to keep it on, I've had this before with the same issue, and the sticky picker upper dried out making it useless. Otherwise it's a must have for handicap people. I plan on purchasing much more and giving these to the other Veterans here in the hospital,,,

I LOVE this!!
I absolutely love this thing! I have two, one for the house, and one to use with my scooter for shopping. Being disabled, it is sometimes hard to reach things from the seat of the scooter I use. The TeleStik Reacher can reach the top shelves, which is usually where everything that I want is located. The sticky part doesn't work quite as well as I had hoped, but I can usually use it to knock something down off the shelf and either pick it up off the floor. It's useful at home as well, picking up keys off the floor of scooting something, that is just out of reach, closer. I couldn't be happier with this product.

Telestik Reacher via Amazon
Love this reacher. It enpower me! I keep it in my purse, especially when I go to the market. Seems like what I want is on the top shelf and the sticky side caught a can of cherry pie filling. It's fun to use. In fact, my bird had landed behind my headboard which is only two inches from the wall. It's a waterbed that cannot be moved quickly. So using the hook part, I reached her and gently nudged her out from behind the bed. Can't say enough good things about this reacher. Love that's it's portable too.
