This light-duty electric door strike allows you to remotely open your door from anywhere in the house. When power is applied, visitors will be able open to push or pull the door open. This electric door strike has a polished brass finish and operates on 8-16VAC power. When you install the electric door strike, your door remains locked until the opener is electrically activated by an external device, such as a handheld remote or an access control keypad. With AC power, the door strike quiet buzzing sound upon activation. Once installed, the door can still be locked and unlocked with a standard key. The door strike is reversible for left- or right-handed doors and can be used for new installation or replacement usage. It is manufactured for installations in wood or metal jambs with locksets having up to 1-9/16-inch throw. The door strike replaces an existing strike plate with an electro-mechanical release mechanism. Simply wire the door strike to a low-voltage push-button switch, a relay release of an intercom system, or any other low-voltage access control device.
