I won’t use anything else!
Head collars have been the magic ingredient for my German Shepherd and my lab mix on leash-walking. Collars and body harnesses were a joke. I tried a Gentle Leader brand head harness, but I keep going back to this Dogs My Love harness. I got my first one from a personal trainer I hired when my Shepherd was 6 months old, and I couldn’t walk him because of how he pulled. Within 10 minutes, he was under control, and I’ve never had a problem walking him since! It’s perfect! HIGHLY recommend if you have a puller.

Worked well to control a large, headstrong puppy!
We have had several dogs including 4 other Labrador Retrievers, and we have always been able to train them to work on a loose leash using just a flat collar. We were well on our way to training our current Labrador puppy, and he was working well on a loose leash - until he started puberty and became a "teenager" at about 5 1/2 months. He developed the attention span of a gnat and a stubborn/independent streak our other dogs had not had, and every time he saw something he wanted while walking him on a leash, he would try to take off and pull. At 57 lbs of solid bone and muscle with all of the energy of a puppy, that was a lot of pull! He was also getting distracted frequently, and we were constantly having to correct him.His snout measured 10 inches at 6 months, so we ordered both the medium size for now and the large size to use later as he grows. The medium fit him perfectly on the day it arrived, and we are hopeful that he will grow into the large size enough that it will be snug enough to use effectively. When it arrived, we put it on to let him get used to it. At first he pawed at it a lot, and he was able to pull the noseband off (either into his mouth or hanging on his neck), but we just slipped it back on again. Within a short time, he was lying down sleeping with it on, and it wasn't bothering him at all. Then we took him for his first walk on a trail where he had behaved earlier but where he had started to pull a lot. The walk wasn't perfect, but he quickly learned not to pull, and the end of the walk was much better than the beginning. The results were pretty fast. Now we will just need to work a bit on dropping him back into the correct "heel" position - something he once knew. We are hopeful that this will just be a tool needed to train him back to what he once knew, so right now we are using both the head collar and his regular flat collar on two separate leashes, so he is getting both signals. (Yes, that takes some coordination). Having the flat collar on a separate leash will still give us some control if he manages to get the nose strap off while we are walking. What I like best about this particular head collar is that the noseband is wide and padded and the straps seem to be wide and comfortable, too. The construction of the head collar keeps the nose band from sliding up to his eyes like we have seen happening to dogs wearing some of the other brands. The dog doesn't mind having it put on or wearing it, and once he got used to it, he stopped pawing at it.If I had a suggestion for the manufacturer, it would be to make sizes in 1 inch increments rather than 2 inch. Since the medium fits our 6 month old perfectly, we know he will outgrow the medium soon, but his snout may not grow enough for the large to fit snugly enough to be effective and not come off easily when he is older.

Not bad for the price
It stopped my dog from pulling with the first use. My only complaint is that even though I measured her and ordered the appropriate size, it's still slightly too big for my dog. She's about 37lbs, I ordered a medium, and if she were any smaller I'd have had to return it. It's just slightly too small, but as she still has a little growing to do I decided to keep it and hope it fits better when she's older.

Very nice head collar
I haven’t written a review in a while. However, this one really deserves it. I have always used the gentle leader for my labs. Unfortunately, the little tab at the bottom of the chin always broke and I had to replace it. I thought I would try something different this time because my one and a half year old lab kept breaking them. When I came across this one, I liked The way it was designed better. There was no clip on the bottom to break. The nose piece was thicker and padded so it doesn’t dig into his face or his eye. It looks and fits better than the general leaders. And it cost much less.I liked it so much that I ordered a second one for my other lab. Now I did order a medium after reading the other reviews that these run large. My labs always wore the large size gentle leaders. However I did order a size medium and it fit them perfect. One of my English labs has a large boxy head. The medium was a little more snug but it fits Just fine and I wouldn’t want it any bigger. If I were to change anything about this head collar It would be the lock mechanism to be a bit stronger. It’s a bit on the cheesy side. I am wondering how long it will hold up after many uses. I guess we will see. All in all I would order this again and recommend it over the gentle leader.

Stops the PULLING…
The only solution I like, that keeps my dog from pulling on the lease when we go walking. It is well made, durable, and padded around the snout. My dog broke the other brand the first day. My dog weighs 70 lbs., is 1year old, and could pull Santa’s sleigh all by herself.

Nice Fit for a Doberman
I purchased this head collar on a whim thinking that perhaps I would need something sensible for my Doberman puppy in the future. He's presently 6 months old and it turns out we needed it sooner rather than later. I'm not a fan of prong collars but wanted control when walking this dog as he's going to weigh about 120lbs when fully grown. Since purchasing a few weeks ago I've used it twice - I selected the Medium size based on other reviewers saying it runs big.....the medium is perfect (and I would say it does run big). At the moment it is at the smallest setting but I'm confident that this will grow with him through adulthood based on that. The nose piece is nicely padded and it doesn't ride up into his eyes. I received numerous compliments on how nicely it fits from people in my dog training club which bodes well. My only comment is that the material is not a thick gauge....its quite flimsy so I walk with a double ended leash, one snap on the head collar and the other snap on a harness for extra security - it seems pretty durable but with a large dog I'm not taking any chances.

Needs to attach to collar
Fit is good and sturdy quality. However, with a hard pull it loosened, my dog backed up and slid out of it and ran off. There should be an extra security strap to attach to the collar. My old halti had one that I could attach and comes off so I've put it on this one. So still using it and happy now.
