A: This is not for a valve stem   This is for a air compressor air hose there is a male thread version that usually goes into a air tool

A: The 728 is the Female plug and the 727 is the Male plug that's is difference and they both are 1/4" NPT .

A: It should fit the Craftsman brand of equipment. Thanks

**Q: Will this fit on your milton s-530 compact digital tire inflator?**
A: The Milton S-530 has a 1/4” female pipe thread so the S-727 will fit on the S-530.  Whether the S-727 fits your coupler on the air hose I can’t answer. If your coupler is a Milton M-Style, yes it will fit.
