Good sound but bad overall: bad mounting, not good for taking calls, and only supports one phone. Disappointing.
I bought this so i could listen to music in the shower.I was looking for a waterproof bluetooth speaker that will be easy to mount and give the best audio possible under these limitations (obviously a portable mono waterproof speaker will never give amazing quality). The ability to take calls was definitely a bonus that made me pick this as well.Sound:The sound quality is pretty much what i expected. Not audiophile quality, i wouldn't use this for critical listening, but for a small shower speaker it does just fine. Good bass, easily fills the room, loud.Mounting:This is where it starts to miss. I tried the "tail" first, but it's not really that good. You can't lock it in, so it can get loose quite easily, the grip diameter is pretty big (about an inch) so it doesn't have a tight grip over any pipes you may have. I was actually really counting on the vacuum cup, because my shower has ceramics and a glass door, a vacuum cup would be perfect for that. This was also a disappointment. It's a really lousy cup, which can't handle the weight of the speaker, so it won't hold more than a day before it falls off, and i need to reattach it. I placed it over a shelf, so it wouldn't have a long drop. They could have used the vacuum cups with pressure levers, like on car phone mounts, that would probably hold better.Sound-wise, the vacuum is better, it uses the glass to spread the sound. The "tail" grip, basically introduces a lot of metal buzzing, not so good.Taking calls:I tried to answer a call using the device buttons, but it didn't work, maybe i didn't press long enough or something. The ringing didn't pass through to the speaker, so i just had silence that interrupted the music so i knew i was getting a call. The person on the other side could hardly hear me or understand what i was saying. So this was a disappointment as well.General:One thing i neglected to check before ordering the device, was how it handles multiple phones/users. This was also a disappointment, and quite a deal breaker for me. It only allows one device to be connected. So if my girlfriend wants to use it, she has to fully reset the speaker, and pair it from scratch. Next time i would want to use it, i will have to go through the same process. It's a pain. The speaker doesn't even have an easy unpair option (the manual only mentions first time use pairing, not unpairing and re-pairing), so you have to actually reset the speaker each time, to get to the first time use pairing. This was the last straw for me. I can't return it, because it was already used and got wet and all, but i would if i could, because this is not a good overall product. It only gets the job done in a very basic level.

!! 1 and 2 stars didn't use the suction cup
(SOUND --> skip intro). I own a bunch of stuff from Polk most notably their RTiA5 towers and CSiA4 center. I purchased the swimmer duo over a year ago - my first one actually broke after a really hard fall onto some tile near it's plastic face, which snapped and caused some rattling. I left a few detailed out when I called POLK DIRECTLY and they sent me a shipping label... I had a REPLACENENT which is still going strong after 9 months, by the end of the week, FREE. Awesome. (Yay Polk). I'm writing this review mostly because I've come back for more - for myself and for CHRISTMAS GIFTS.~~ SOUND ~~ Any low rating you've read was written by someone who neglected to attach the suction cup and find an appropriate surface to stick it to. Keeping this concise, when I attach my duo to my coffee table, I can feel (even subtle) bass tones at 12.5% volume on my iPhone (12.5%= 2/16 bars). Hopefully you'be already read the duo provides PLENTY of volume. But know, now, that the BASS for this cheap, portable, life proof speaker is unbelievable when placed correctly. When PLACED CORRECTLY. SO IMPORTANT. I WOULD BUY THIS SPEAKER AGAIN IF IT WERE 100$ (though they'd better get rid of this plastic grill at that price)Recommend again and again. Entirely necessary to mention the importance of the suction cup, however.

The Suction Cup Is Completely Inadequate
I purchased one of these, paired it to my phone, and charged it up. Played some songs to it while it was charging on the desk and it sounded fine. The sound was much better than its size would indicate. I screwed the suction cup to the body and took to to the shower. I wet the suction cup and stuck it to the smooth faux tile of the wall (it's plastic). It stuck there for perhaps 5 minutes and fell. That's when the sound quality went down the toilet. At low volume levels, the sound became distorted and very "clippy" sounding. I'm returning this one and ordering a replacement. Remember: DO NOT USE THE SUCTION CUP!The suction cup attachment is completely inadequate and poorly designed. It's too small for the size and shape of the unit. I hope the manufacturer is reading this and takes steps to redesign the suction cup.

Great concept, terrible performance
If I could give zero stars I would. These speakers are very poorly made. Great concept, terrible performance. I have had multiple family members that have purchased these and had suggested to buy these speakers. The problem was this was a couple of years ago, and from our understanding, was a different model than the current version. I purchased 2 of these duo speakers because I love the idea of being able to sync 2 speakers. I was able to get the speakers synced together, and was able to get my phone to pair to both speakers and play music. After about 4 songs, the speakers would beep and turn off. I would then have to turn the speakers on and would have to re-sync everything. This would consistently happen with these speakers, where for whatever reason, everything would just disconnect. Mind you, that the speakers were fully charged and my phone that was connected never moved and nothing was changed for any of this to be caused. I listen to Bluetooth headphones everyday and never have a problem with the connection, so eliminate my phone as being the problem. Along with this, the 8 hour battery life is extremely overstated. On a full charge, you will luckily get 2-3 hours out of the battery. After having these issues I returned the speakers and ordered 2 more of a different color thinking that it might be one of those speakers that was malfunctioning and causing the issue. I received the other 2 speakers and am having the same issues as before. Do not waste your money, especially on purchasing 2 of these speakers. For $120, you can find much better quality and functioning speakers. Nothing more frustrating than paying that amount of money for something and it not functioning as described/promised.

No vuelvo a comprar.

Delivers what is promised.
Good product, reasonable quality. My 2 year old throws it around and uses it while he's bathing. Only negative is outer case is a bit loose and comes off easily.

Older model- I bought these for $20 from this same seller!!
Bought these for $20. Now they’ve priced it up to $73???!!! These don’t pair well, the suction cup sucks and speakers keep dropping, stereo link is a nightmare, low bass response! Worth $20 alright, but don’t pay $73 for it!!
