Fabulous package deal. The charger alone is worth the price. The two batteries and extra goodies are frosting on the cake. My order came within two days, and I immediately charged the battery and put it into my Coolpix AW130. It fit perfectly, and everything works great. Having the charger is much better than sitting around with the camera door open to wait for the original charger to re-juice the battery. I have used Vivitar products for 30+ years, and was pleased to see that they are still making reliable and useful items.

I got this charger because the one that came with my Nikon camera had a separate cord which takes up more space and weight than the charger itself. This Vivitar charger has the retractable plug built in to the charger itself which makes it lighter and more convenient for travel. The part where the battery rests is removable indicating that the charger is a universal design that receives the adapter for the specified battery. The car charger is a nice addition since it is a travel charger. The camera cleaning accessories are OK too but not what made me decide on the purchase. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to add a USB port to the side of the charger case. I have a different charger for another camera that features the USB and it is a handy feature.

I didn't really need all the accessories that came with the batteries, but I'm sure they will come in handy. I haven't had them long enough to do a battery life evaluation, but I have confidence in the reputation of Vivitar. I hope my confidence isn't misplaced. If so, I'll be back here with an addendum to this review. After trying some no name batteries for my camera, I had decided to bite the bullet and pay the price for Nikon batteries. Then I saw this offering, for a reasonable price. The charger is fast and compact and the set comes with an adapter for European outlets. All in all, it appears to be a good value.

I really only needed a new battery, but this deal was so good I could not pass it up versus the cost of just a name brand new battery.I'm not sure I will ever use the accessories, as my camera is quite tiny and has an auto lens cover. Not like a big SLR with the big lens that seems to collect dust. But who knows? I hope to own a big digital SLR camera one day.

Unlike some cheap replacement batteries these can actually interface with my S9700 which means I can actually get an estimate of how charged they are. I haven't done any conclusive tests on life, but I expect each to be somewhere between half and three quarters the capacity of the OEM Nikon battery. You can't expect too much for a kit that costs less than one Nikon battery.The charger is a nice addition since my S9700 didn't originally come with one. I can now charge a battery while also using my camera. An external charger is basically needed when you have multiple batteries, so it's nice not to have to purchase one separately.

This package is a great value! I ordered it a while ago for my dad, as he needed an additional battery for his Nikon S9000 series. My small poitnt and shoot died, so I opted for the Nikon S9900. I also have the S8200. These batteries fit well in all three cameras and I really cannot tell a difference between the Nikon and Vivitar quality. They are all great! It is always helpful to have an extra charged battery on a cruise!THE BEST PART: Our Nikon cameras only came with a wire and connector to plug the camera in, then charge the battery while it is in the camera. You therefore have no use of the camera while the battery is charging. The charger that comes with this package allows you to charge one battery directly at the outlet, while using the camera with an additional battery.

Purchased this product about two weeks ago. Two days later it arrived, well packaged, and exactly as advertised. The vendor followed up with an email to make sure I was satisfied with the product which I appreciated. So far this product is performing as expected - the charger works on the included two batteries and on the Nikon batteries that came with the camera. The batteries that came with this unit seem to perform about the same as the batteries that came with the camera as well. Love that this came with an adapter for a car cigarette lighter as we are frequently wanting to charge batteries on the go. The other items that came with this are nice extras. At this point in time I would highly recommend this product and vendor.

Comparing to the original EN-EL12 battery, these are ok, but hold much lesser time. Where I've used one EN-EL12, I would go through two Vivitar's replacement. It's not that bad, considering the price, but consider this when ordering. Note, that my camera - S9900 has constantly running GPS, which causes batteries to drain much faster, so my review is biased by that fact. In any case, I'm giving 5 stars to this kit, which was exactly what I needed for the price less than original Nikon's EN-EL12.
