In its Veggie Tales stories, Big Idea Productions uses the unique innovation of computer animation to create stories that teach children values such as forgiveness, honesty, and kindness. In the first of its video series, Where's God When I'm S-Scared, Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber teach lessons in handling fear. They help Junior Asparagus get to sleep after watching a scary movie by reminding him that "God is always watching out for us!" and in a zany rendition of the well-known Bible tale of Daniel in the lions' den, viewers learn how Larry the Cucumber makes it through a night spent with some scary lions.

Teaching Kids to Not be Scared
My kids love Veggietales, and this one is so cute. "God is bigger than the boogie-man" is something that my child sings all the time. It's great because our kids are just getting to that age where they are starting to be scared of monsters in the closet etc. at night and this puts all their fears at ease. It really is something great for them to see if they start being afraid, and let's face it, in our world today it's nice to see that our kids are watching wholesome entertainment. I definitely recommend this to any parent with children. (It's also good for adults).

If your little ones are afraid of the dark, monsters, or bedtime...try this Veggie Tale.
This is the perfect story for pre-schoolers! My little ones (ages 3 and 5) plead to watch some of the old monster-laden Scooby-Doo cartoons or the 1950s Godzilla movie--and needing some quiet time, I have been known to cave in. It's just a matter of time--usually at bedtime--when their little minds process the monsters from these campy old flicks as real and threatening. This Veggie Tales episode addresses and calms these fears in a direct, funny and teachable way. I won't recap the story, just watch it. Your kids--and you--will love it. My little guy wants to watch it every day. It entertains, gives good information and offers a faith-based message that little ones can understand.

Classic Family Fun!
If you're looking for a video that has good Christian family values and teaches kids how to handle situations while making it fun (and funny), then you've found it in the Veggie Tales collection. Where's God When I'm S-Scared? is the first of many educational and entertaining products from Big Idea Productions. They are fun for the whole family because not only are they fun for the kids but there are jokes and comparisons that you can only make if you've been around for awhile (like us adults!). My husband got hooked on them before our son ever came along! These videos are 100% safe so you don't have to worry about their content and the questions you'll be asked about what they've been seeing. Well worth the investment because your kids (and you) will watch them over and over again!

Perfect!
This movie is exactly what I was looking for. My son has nightmares especially after watching certain movies (including Disney). Both of my children love this movie and go around singing "God is bigger than the boogie man" on a regular basis. It is nice to remind him when he wakes up at night that God is looking after him as well as his parents and he is safe. It seems to make him feel a lot better and he goes back to sleep. I definitely recommend this movie even if you don't have a child that tends to have nightmares. It is fun and teaches a good lesson.

Absolute Hit With My Kids!!
I purchased this as a birthday present for my daughter. This was the first VeggieTales Episode made. The 15th Anniversary video has a few bonuses, such as an episode of 3-2-1 Penguins and some tutorials on how to draw various characters. My kids LOVE this movie. VeggieTales has done a really excellent job of pointing out that "God is bigger than the Boogieman," and we have nothing to fear if we have God on our side :-) Also included is a Daniel episode, that my daughter has about memorized. I think she likes it better than Where's God When I'm Scared! Ha ha! Quality entertainment with lasting values. I love VeggieTales :-)

Great for kids!
I am 21 years old and I grew up watching these videos, even if you do not expect your child to grow up into a saint these videos have the perfect blend of colors, sounds, singing, squeaky voices, etc. that kids just absolutely love! I have a nephew who simply cannot get enough of this particular DVD. It has been an absolute joy watching him stand up and sing and dance to these characters, and what's great is he never seems to get bored with them! For the price of this you really cannot beat it!

I love this movie!
I was delighted to find the original Veggie Tales on Amazon. I remember this from when I was young and am so happy to share with my son. We sing these songs long after the show is done. Family friendly.
