I've soaped for many years but lost all my equipment, including very expensive professional wood silicone liner loaf and slab molds in the CA fires. So I bought this to make a few soaps for the holiday. I just reordered another one as the value is good. I've used just about every soap mold in the industry, but honestly this is comparable to some well known suppliers who charge much more for similar molds. I've made HTHP, HP, CPOP and CP no gel soaps in this mold without issue. For my cutter it gives me 10 bars; 1 inch thick , 3.5 wide, 2.5 high if I don't do a high top design. For the beginner or expert this is a good soap mold to have on hand.

I had tried the 42 oz sized molds with the box and silicone inserts but was not happy with the size of the soaps. This one makes a nice sized Bar, 3 1/2 x 2 3/4. I am not a fan of lining wood boxes with freezer paper. I had no problem removing the soap. My husband made a box to surround it with one removable side for extra support but I think it may have been OK without it. It is pretty sturdy and well supported. I liked it so much I have already purchased another one.

I make cold process soap and needed another mold and couldn't wait a week or 2 to order from my regular soap supplier. I usually use the brambleberry mold but this works well too. Sturdy and not hard to get the soap out. It's a cheaper alternative to most molds found online.

This soap mold is very good for making soap. I have made several batches of soap, placed, in the oven, placed in the freezer, and the soap always comes out perfectly.

This milder is definitely more rigid than those w/o the vertical strips on the side of the mold. I still used plywood reinforcements around the mold just in case. But, the sides don’t collapse on you when pouring the slurry into the mold which is also a big plus
