I was thrilled. Key is following the instructions perfectly. Review: First bump, down it came ! - I’ve had to use adhesive on rearview mirrors in the past. I always, always follow the instructions explicitly. I use a razor to clean off the metal tab that attaches to the window to clean both a tab in the window. I never should’ve used a cheaper adhesive. Because as always, it never works out. I let THIS adhesive do its thing for a couple days before reattaching the mirror. First bump ? Down came the mirror. Car sat in the shade for several days before I used it. So it was not the son that did anything to the adhesive. My advice ? Do not cheap out and buy this product. Get the best. Spend the extra three or four bucks. It would be worth it. Heading to the local auto parts store to buy the right stuff.
