Dino Dana: Dino Field Guide: Pterosaurs and Other Prehistoric Creatures! (Dinosaurs for Kids, Science Book for Kids, Fossils, Prehistoric)

My 3 yo asked Santa for a dino field guide for Christmas. He and his 5 yo brother are HUGE Dino Dan, Trek, and Dana fans. I bought both volumes and they were so excited to see them under the tree. We read them together at least every other day, but they often thumb through them themselves a little bit each day. Well put together books and easy for young kids to follow and recount episodes from the show.

I had hoped for something that would be just fun for my six year grandson who is nuts for dinosaurs. I had NO idea how wonderful these two volumes were going to be. The amount of knowledge that is presented for each dino is perfect for his age group. We pick one dino and read the pages, then he gets to watch the episode of the Dino Dana that corespondents with those pages. After the viewing, he is right back at the book(s) to memorize the pronunciation, information, and facts. THEN, he wanted to create his own dino field guide, which we are now providing him the raw materials to do. I am hoping that the producers of these fine books and TV series continue the line. SUPER EDUCATIONAL and SUPER FUN!

Birthday present for my dino obsessed kid. She has the first volume and reads it all the time. She wants you to know that there are animals that are not dinosaurs in this book. Still cool prehistoric animals, but if your kid is a dinosaur purist, they won’t find the smiledon and mammoth parts are interesting. we gave this to our kid right before a 90 minute car trip. The only thing we heard all trip was “did you know?!” facts.

I am so happy to support Dino Dana! These guides are not only written for children by a woman paleontologist, but they show my child that dinosaur lovers are as diverse as dinosauria. My 4-year-old loves these books and find the real-world comparisons helpful.

My 4 year old is obsessed with Dino Dana and I love that the show covers *more* than just Dinos! Volume 1 covers a lot of dinos, but this volume includes pterosaurs & other prehistoric creatures, which is a great compliment to the show that also covers these creatures. My daughter also LOVES “the sound of dinosaurs” episode which features 3 songs and the lyrics are in this book, which made her love it even more! I have nothing negative to say about these guides… they are so well done, engaging and informative!!!

Wonderful book! My 5 year old loves dinosaurs and the TV series and is obsessed with this book and the 1st volume. They have great info and photos. He reads them over and over and finds something new each time.

Somebody must’ve read my field guide review for Vol. 1, because it was nice to finally figure out the lyrics for the most amaZING dinosaur songs ever, along with learning about more prehistoric animals.“This is how dinosaurs fight, so they can, so they can…” , “…And now my test will be easy!… And now you’re test will be easy!…”

My daughter is 3.5 and loves Dino Dana. I was happy to see that there were items for kids from an Amazon show! She loves to read this and do her dino experiments. We just purchased volume 2!

Awful..... text missing, pictures clumped together. Not readable. My son is very disappointed as we read the first one about 100 times and he was excited to see a new one . Waste of money buying it on the kindle. Would like my money back but don't know how to do it.

Dino Dana is a firm favourite in this house and the look of joy when my son received this book was clear to see. A great book.

Another excellent book. This book is a very similar size and thickness as the previous volume, packed full of Dino facts and is very well put together. Our 6 year old loves it!

Imprescindible para los fans del programa DINO DANA. Mi hijo de 4 años ama este libro y ya perdí la cuenta de las veces que lo hemos leído. Está en inglés. Habla de las características de cada dinosaurio (como si fueran las anotaciones de Dana) y de un "dino experiment" que prácticamente es el resumen del capítulo de la serie donde se plantea una pregunta acerca del dinosaurio y lo resuelve de manera creativa. Un acierto total y ya pedí el volumen 2 para el cumple de mi niño. Va a alucinar!
