Best sticky trap!!
These are the best fly traps I have found. They are a little disgusting but well worth it to not be constantly bothered by flies. They are attracted to the shiny aluminum better than anything I have tried. The package deal saves brainwork remembering to buy more and handy to replace often.

Helpful solution to pesky pests
It looks like a aluminum covered core of the center of a empty paper towel roll - except it has a clear extremely sticky coating - be careful not to touch its very hard to wash off the hands but does a good job sticking the gnats / flies when they land on it and it seems like they like shiny aluminum objects - you could drop something in the base to help draw them as they seem very attracted to ANYTHING that has a food smell from fruit to well anything. I had a bad problem with them this summer so I now have these aluminum fly traps all over the house - EXCELLENT purchase for the money - takes time to get rid of all of them but effective eventually.

The very best fly paper ever invented!
Whoever invented these fly paper tubes deserves an award. They are far better than the flexible ones that you have to unravel from a canister. They don't smell. They don't get tangled up on themselves if they get blown by the breeze. They don't stick to your hair if you happen to bump into them thanks to the little plastic tray on the bottom. They don't melt and have glue dripping off them if they get hot in the sun either and I live in Las Vegas were it gets hot in the summer. They aren't bright yellow or green, so they blend in with surroundings better. Most people don't even notice them when they come over to visit our house, yet we have them hanging in the bathroom, kitchen, indoor patio and by the exterior doors. Their reflective silvery finish makes them reflect the colors of the walls they are near, so they really blend in.The flies and other flying insects stick to them very well. The glue stays sticky for months. I usually only replace them once a year and it's pretty dry where we live. There are times when these are sold out in my local stores, so I'm glad I can get them here.

The product is great it was packaged badly by the seller
The Raid sticks work great. The packing of the Raid sticks by the seller was very bad and they arrived crushed. I have ordered them before and they cam packaged in a sturdy box and they were great. This time I am not happy.

You get what you pay for
Used to be better quality/made better. Now, when I hang them up, they fall off their hanger. Cheap!!! Very frustrated! Three were on the ground the next day and it wasn’t even windy. I need these to work and they are not working. They are sticky! That is the only thing good about them. If they were made better/top didn’t just pop off. Then, the price is great for six of them!

One element of effective fruit fly control
Every year we get a few fruit flies in the house, probably from the grape vine outside. And most years, they find a juice or milk glass that hasn't been washed yet, and then we have a problem. They multiply fast! So every year I buy a few of these for around the house. The key to getting rid of them is to attack on multiple fronts: passive and active. For active measures, racket-style bug zappers are good. For passive, these are the best combination I have found of value and effectiveness. And they keep working even when you are asleep or out of the house. To get the best results, you will want to hang these near problem areas. The most important are the kitchen and bathroom trash cans, and the kitchen and bathroom sinks. Fruit flies are very thirsty, and tend to congregate where they can find water. We hang one over the trash can in the kitchen, and one near the sink. (You definitely want to hang them high enough that you won't bump your head on them -- they are messy if you touch them!) In the bathroom, we keep one on top of the medicine cabinet where the fruit flies will land (right under the light. They also like light.) but it's nearly invisible to people. We have a small bathroom, so another over the trash is unnecessary. If you do this in addition to using a zapper a couple times a day (especially waving it over the trash, over the sinks, and inside the shower) you should be able to get the problem either under control or completely eradicated within a few days. One other really good use for this is in the pantry. The fly stick is very good for trapping pantry bugs. Since we don't have a way to hang it in the pantry, and we don't want the sticky stuff getting all over our food cans and boxes, we keep it inside the open box. It isn't perfect, but it does help.
