Great looking book
Great looking book. Wish they had more aerial views, and a map. My Grandfather was a Police Officer working the event, so it has some special thoughts for me in reading and admiring this book.

Great for the price
Tons of amazing photos of the fair. I would have liked a bit more text, but the images are fantastic. I only wish the book was available in a printed format, the photos really deserve a larger canvas than the kindle screen.

Quality book with unique photos
Beautiful book! I have seen other books on the Century of Progress, and I own some, but this one has photos I have never seen. Great quality.

Decent enough
The first half of the book had okay pictures. The better ones are mostly in the second half. My favorite picture featured three kids holding a gigantic soft pretzel. Never seen one bigger. There were also a couple of pictures of huge tightly packed crowds of people that really set of my social anxiety imagining being caught in such a large mass of people. This is a decent book, but I am glad I got it for free.

Fascinating
I have been interested in this World Fair ever since I read Devil in the White City. It is great to see so many photos. A good boy.

Chicago: Adventure For the ArmChair Tourist
A very educational & fun read. well-written (by professional journalists) and a lovely experience as an Adventure rich in uncommonly known historical facts. It made me sad that I didn't get to experience it firsthand as a local resident of the area- from conception to deconstruction. For having missed my opportunity to experience the Illinois state and its historical sites, this book made me feel the closest one can be, without being there!
