Crossing the Threshold of Divine Revelation

Great book to learn what to say to skeptics and agnostics critical of the validity of Christianity
Great book by a great author Dr. Billy Abraham of Perkins Theology School at SMU in Dallas, Texas. Billy explains how critics and skeptics have been successful in attacking Christianity and what their chief weapon is, and how it can be defeated. He goes on to show the value of Divine Revelation in Christianity defense and effective conversion of doubters and skeptics. There is a wonderful short story of "Ms. Convert" that shows the continuum from just good person, doing good things to deep belief and effective action as a Christian. Dr. Abraham makes a compelling case for "canonical theology" in this book. This should be a text book and required reading for every Christian theology student. I am a layman, but newly returned to the Church, and I read the book after hearing a lecture series by Dr. Abraham...and I am ever more glad I did hear him speak and read his book. Worth the money.

Seriously challenging
This is the spiritual equivalent of reading Steven Hawking, as much credit for having done it as gained from the experience of doing it...

Excellent summary of God's revelation.
I cannot think of another resource out there that covers how to understand God's revelation as well as this book. Highly recommend!

The best of its kind!
This is one of the best books out there dealing with Divine revelation, particularly in describing the importance of God's revelation in the early church, and preservation of scripture from oral tradition, the creeds, and the canon.
