Metal, brightly colored, true to the characters of the much beloved Thomas the Train series. Each little train car has his or her name on the underside, which helps me to talk about them with my two year old grandson. I have to help him attach them, but it's easy. Because they are very small, they are good for carrying small toys when we are traveling. I found a small clear box, where each little train has it's own space. Little Joey loves them. It's like visiting friends.

My toddler really likes Thomas and was recently given a little track set from the store which only contained Thomas. The packaging had pictures of the other trains from the show and she kept pointing at them wondering where they were (obviously sold separately).Since this is an Amazon exclusive item, it's only available online. I went ahead and bought and best $ I've spent in a long time. She was in love as soon as she saw the package and happily played with all the trains ALL DAY LONG. So I finally had time to get stuff done around the house and little one forgot the TV existed.Make sure you only get these if you have the Track Master series. Metal, beautiful colors, highly detailed! Super pleased with this purchase!!

These little trains are suprisingly sturdy and have weight to them. Not cheap. I do wish maybe not so many engines and add a train car or two to the package. I sanitized and used these for a child's cake decoration and made edible train cars. Worked perfect.

Mixed feelings about this toy. My son LOVES trains and thomas the train. It was a great price and good amount of trains. Unfortunately the little connectors that connect each train are made of the most ridiculous cheap bendable non sturdy plastic ever. They will most certainly bend and stretch out if ur child connects the train pieces together and unconnects them. And once they bend out... no matter how hard u bend them back in they will not stay... therefore ur train set will not stay connected and if ur child is like mine... they will find this extremely frustrating that the train keeps coming apart. And it will be frustrating for u as a parent to keep hearing ur child freak out cause the train came apart AGAIN... and no matter how hard u bend the plastic back it is just worn out and cheap and it will not hold the train pieces together and ur child will be SUPER UNHAPPY about it. If this had a better connection between the trains i would give it 5 stars. Every other part of the train is solid and strong and amazing. But whats the point of having connecting train pieces if they wont stay connected? My advice... find a train set with strong magnets or at least connection points that are not made of cheap, thin, bendable plastic. It ruined the whole toy.

I have to admit that I was disappointed when I first opened the package to find quite small engines. They measure just under 7cm long by 3cm wide and I was skeptical that they would work on our very old blue Tomy track system, as the original battery operated Thomas train is much larger and has a wider wheel span. However they do fit and push along very easily and appear to be well made and sturdy. Our young grandchildren have spent hours pushing them around the track. Just a note if you don't know the engines names- they are written underneath

los trenes son de metal, algo pesados, si pones los 6 en fila la locomotora no andara muy rápido por el peso.por lo mismo de que son de metal tu hij@ podra aventarlos tirarlos lo que sea y no les pasa nada, obvio unos raspones solamente
