I've recently moved house and I can tell you without a moment's hesitation that parcel tape doesn't work. It just doesn't. It'll stick to itself, but it has no hope whatsoever with cardboard moving boxes. This silver duct tape is perfect. It tears, so you don't need to struggle with scissors, the adhesive is strong - it can manage weighty or unevenly weighted moving boxes with aplomb, and it's water-resistant.Couldn't ask for more. It's strong, easy to use, a roll goes a long way, and for the price, I doubt you'll find better.

Keeps boxes securely closed and prevents openings. The tape is simple to useand tear by hand, speeding up the packing process.

Good quality

I had previously bought the grey version and it was not nearly as good, But this is excellent value for money, sticks well and seems of good quality. Although this may vary depending on what you use it for, I don't know how it copes with water.

I use it for every thing you can think of I used it to hold a tent up raping the poles together after strong wind broke it the camper was happy to stay on holiday and not go home early I use it to rap boxes up make them strong

Its cheap and does the job but its no substitute for the expensive high quality duck tape
