Wonderful
This is a great TV for the price. It has a 10-bit MVA panel which reproduces vibrant colour with great contrast. Black level and white point are rather accurate. Backpanel uniformity is also good. The built in bias lighting ie Ambilight is excellent and not a gimmick. It reduces the perceived brightness of then display rather reducing eye fatigue while also making the scene feel more expansive due to the colour of the video frame being reproduced. This is the best bias lighting I've found and in a TV at this price it's well worth it. Other manufacturers are not allowed to include bias lights due to what I suspect are patent and licensing restrictions due to Ambilight being an original Philips product. I've always used LG or Samsung but I can safely say these TVs are very good. Better than the competition in my opinion. The speakers are not bad and the operating system ie SAPHI is functional and more responsive than last years iteration. The control is light and tactile to use. The buttons have a shallow actuation point which is nicer than the big rubber keys that tend to rock around on other remotes. It also has a microphone on the remote if you want to use Voice Commands which requires Amazon Alexa and therefore an Amazon Account. I've thrown 4K 2160p YPbPr4:4:4 HDR+ at 60Hz across a 5 meter Lindy Cromo HDMI 2.0 cable and the picture quality is excellent. Motion on this panel is good for an MVA panel and a definate improvement. Compared to a TN panel it is slow but you soon get used to it. I personally have the picture mode always set to Game because it is the fastest mode with an average input lag of 20ms. I prefer the MVA panel to IPS due to less glare and wider contrast range. Of course OLED is the best but this basically a compromise between colour reproduction, contrast and pixel response time. I suspect a few have no idea what I'm talking about. If not be content that you've bough a decent telly for the price. No negatives to note apart from the fact that Amazon sent me the wrong model ie 50PUS6704 which is last years model. I eventually ordered from elsewhere with a better experience but felt the need to leave feedback for anyone considering buying this. Thanks.

Love this TV!
I know that everyone says this, but the best thing about this TV is the "Ambilighting" - it makes such a difference to watching a movie - it makes the whole screen look bigger and really draws you in.I don't generally watch mainstream TV programmes and really only use Netflix and Prime and so this TV is ideal as it is all built-in.Some reviews were saying about the "blacks" being too black - but you can alter this in the settings. There are a load of different settings to choose from for your own personal tastes so it's really not an issue. I went in and changed loads as Phillips presets aren't necessarily for everyone.I bought the 50" and for the money this TV is amazing! Great sound and picture, the stands/feet either-side were easy to put on and holes lined up perfectly. It came packaged and boxed really well and thoughtfully. The screen was well protected. The remote is easy to use and it only took me minutes to set the whole thing up. Very happy :)

Beautiful TV
Beautiful TV , unfortunately the 1st one I got was broken but I contacted Spatialonline and they asked me to send a picture of the broken one and I did and they took it back and sent me a new one out, I am pretty sure it would of been with me a day after I had returned the broken one but it was the weekend so it was collected Friday and on the Monday I had a new one .The picture is superb and works really nicely with Netflix and my Shield the ambilight is incredible and just adds to the beauty of this TV, the price is great and I am sure you will not get even close to all the specifications you get with this for the price with any other brand, I have the 42 inch Android in my front room and I wanted the same for my bedroom and all I can say is people who know Philips TVs will be very happy with this.

Software makes this TV useless
When I get a new TV I expect some setup to get the picture right and was prepared to do so with this TV. TV looks good but the main problem with it is the software that runs it.I updated the software immediately and got stuck into TRYING to get a decent picture. I have Virgin TV, so I tried for hours to get the picture right and only ended up with a slightly acceptable picture. As soon as I tried playing a recording from the Virgin box, the picture changed and I had to set it up again for recordings, then back again when I was using the TV.Froze mulitple times, user interface is clumsy and you can't get anything but grainy blacks. When you do manage to get a fairly ungrainy black you end up with a blurry image.Shocking they have made suck a bad interface and software to run, what I believe would be a rather nice TV.The only thing that worked properly was the Ambilight, which was a nice touch. But if you can't get a decent image, all the soft huge around the TV doesn't matter.Terrible TV.
