Two bikes, same issue. Avoid.
I purchased two of these bikes and both have had the same issue. After putting about 200 miles on the first, I began to see the error code "E-5" and the resistance motor would lock up while riding in some of the higher gears. I reached out to Amazon customer service and they were helpful, and after haggling over a restocking fee I was able to return the first.Since it was very sturdy, rode nicely when it worked, and I needed a box to ship the first bike back in, I took a chance and ordered a second. Once again, after 200 or so miles, I'm getting the "E-5" error and the resistance locks up.I'm very disappointed that I couldn't get something programmable and reliable at this price point, but if you're serious about a trainer make your investment in another brand. My search continues.

Very Good, But....
I received the bike about 2 weeks ago. Assembly was easy, though the instructions could be improved. The fit of this bike is a bit challenging, but once you find the fit, it is very comfortable. Bike rides very smoothly and quiet!! I have read reviews saying when standing and pedaling, there is a feeling of bottoming out. There is, for sure. I believe this is do the free wheel instead of being like a true spin bike. To me it is no different than riding my road bike outdoors. So this is not a big deal for me!!The only draw back and the reason this bike doesn't get a 5 stars, is the delay in increasing tension. I have timed it and there seems to be about a 9-10 second delay when you increase the tension. I noticed this on one of programs when the tension jumped from level 1 to level 17. I couldn't believe how long it took to get to final tension. I can see this being a problem when doing a spin style work out and doing jumps. All and all very nice bike, but would be a SUPER bike if there wasn't such delay with the tensioning system.

comfortable seating and hand positions for my 6' 4" body ...
I had been researching spin bikes looking for programmable magnetic resistance, belt-drive, 40 lb or more flywheel, comfortable seating and hand positions for my 6' 4" body frame at a price under $700.00 dollars. I found this bike it exceeded my expectations. The bike is sturdy and well built. Delivery by Wayfair was excellent no damage to packaging and the delivery persons actually delivered it into my house. Assembly is basically simple. I found the most difficult task was to connect and properly cover the wiring for the computer. The computer controls the resistance to the fly wheel. There is no manual control for the resistance. There are several options to choose from: PROGRAM containing 12 pre-set resistance programs. MANUAL where you can establish your own program resistance for Time, Distance, Calories, and Heart Rate for an individual session. USER where you can store your own programs for training. HRC (heart rate control) where the resistance is controlled by your Target Heart Rate at 55%, 75%, or 90% of THR. Selecting your options is simple and the display is blue back-lit with white lettering. There is no accommodations for an external audio device. You may want to purchase a more comfortable seat or a gel seat covering to provide additional seating comfort The seat adjust vertically and horizontally. The hand grips adjust vertically only. There is a pulse sensor built into the outer hand grips, which may be uncomfortable for some. In this case the computer can accommodate an ear clip or chest harness pulse devices. The belt system delivers quite and smooth performance. The bike has built-in floor levelers to help with stability. It does have wheels located at the front, but tilting the bike to move it my be difficult.Overall, the bike has been a great addition to my aerobic exercise program. It offers a diversity of exercises which results in continued use and positive physical results.

not too comfortable
I am an avid spinner.. I take spinning at least twice a week. I was looking for an inexpensive at home bike to use while recovering from a knee scope. This bike is okay. I felt like for the money it would be more comfortable. I could have gone with a $200.00 bike but wanted something I would use long term not just after the surgery. I find myself still trying to find the right adjustments to feel comfortable.I am 5'10" and feel like I want to be sitting back further than the adjustments allow. I am using it and will use it after my surgery for physical therapy. I do wish I had gone with a different bike. Maybe even just a simple spin bike. There is something awkward about the handlebars and seat placement. I have not put my finger on it yet.The bike itself was simple to put together and arrived a little beat up but nothing broken.

Great bike
I was looking for a spin bike with resistance programs and found this. Works great and love that it has magnetic resistance and no need to be plugged in. The only con is the screen should be tilted back a little towards the rider to be easier to see.

Great spinning bike with a nice computer
I really appreciate the people who take time to write reviews of things they buy on amazon. I saw some cheaper bikes that I decided to not go for because of them being wobbly or not made to last. Amazon is really great about shipping. Nothing was broken, I scheduled the shipment arrival time and it did arrive on time. It was a breeze to put together except for the computer display which took like half an hour for me.It is very sturdy, no wobbling or anything. It took me about 15 minutes to adjust the seat height, angle etc to my liking. I love this bike so far. If you select manual workout, you can change resistance as you please. It is magnetic resistance. It's pretty accurate and has 32 levels. The display gets charged as you workout so it doesn't need any wall outlet. The whole reason why I bought this was to see the intensity level while using the bike so I don't slack off when tired. I wanted to stick to a program and this allows me to do so. Heart rate monitor helps keep things in check in terms of safety. I use bowflex revolution for strength training at home. I had nothing for cardio and this bike is perfect for my needs.I don't know what else to post here. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Brilliant piece of kit, pity about the instruction manual - Now problems
Very pleased with this bike. The reason I didn't give it 5 star was it was let down by the difficult to understand instruction manual. The battery is a good idea so no mains connection but I would have preferred the computer to stay on longer or even have a switch. This latter point is a small point.Just an update: disappointingly mine has broke after only a couple of weeks. (Purchased 24th Nov.), Sweatband have been very concerned and offered help in dealing with Kettler. I am still awaiting an engineer after contacting Kettler last Friday the 13th. Dec.Kettler rang and not willing to come till Jan 9th , poor response. Been broke now for 3 weeks. I have requested a replacement machine from Sweatband. Will update.Sweatband have replaced this machine which is now up and running. Although I have had problems, I would commend Sweatband for their customer support and recommend them for this alone. Kettler I have to say were dissapointing.

Exactly what I wanted.
I originally left a negative feedback as my exercise bike did not work on first assembly and it took 3 calls to Kettler UK service to get a service engineer to call. So my bike was unused for a week after delivery, the retailer - Net Shoppers, saw my posting and contacted me immediately to find out what was wrong and what could they do to help. I thought their response was great, very attentive and helpful. After I explained the problems I had encountered, they immediately offered me a partial credit against the cost of the bike, the refund went through the next day and suggested that I have ant service issues to contact them straight away as they would use their relationship with Kettler UK to escalate a service call.Since the bike has been working, it took the engineer TWO minutes to fix, I am delighted with the quality and performance of the bike, it really does deliver everything I expected. I'm not anticipating too many service issues as the bike's build quality is superb, I can recommend the Kettler Giro GT without exception. I can also recommend Net Shoppers unhesitatingly, their speedy and sympathetic response is; unfortunately, all too rare today.

Does what it says on the tin.
Found the Kettler very good and does what it says on the tin. Good value and sturdy constrution had a couple of niggles but a phone call to a helpful customer service sorted it. I have used the bike now for a couple of weeks and found it realy good the only down side is I cant find a program on the computer to simulate road riding were I select the gear / load so I can ride at a constent speed without the computer increasing or decreasing the load. Any ideas ? But overall a great bike.
