A must have if you are setting up your net on sand
This is a must have adaptor kit for setting up the Spectrum net system on the beach. The augers allow the net to be set up as taut as in solid ground. Highly recommend!

Solid construction
I'd never used sand augers before and was surprised by how well they dug into the sand and held. I twisted them in until just the tips of the eye hook showed and there was no way I could have pulled one out by hand. Note: You might want to have a small metal bar (or stake) to give extra torque while setting them.

Read before you buy
To whom it may concern:As a teacher and a volleyball coach, I know that it's much easier to criticize then it is to provide kudos, so I will try to provide both. Before I purchase any item, I do extensive research through communicating with the provider and reading reviews. I purchased this item because I was running a volleyball camp on the beach for my team at the school I teach/coach at. Although the item was received promptly and appeared to be everything it claimed it was, I was sadly mistaken. When we arrived to the beach (parents had to drive their kids an hour to get to), I started to set up the (under 5 minute) park and sun net spectrum classic system. To begin, the boundary lines were completely in a rat's nest. After 45 minutes of attempting to untangle it, I had to eventually cut it, then retie it. Once that was taken care of, I felt relieved until I began to set up the poles. Before I mention anything, I think the net itself and the quality of the poles are fantastic, but they are certainly not made for the beach or for sand. I took into account that the kit that came with the classic set would not be suitable for the beach, so I purchased the Park & Sun Sand auger set, which I called Park and Sun to ask them specifically which adapter set I should buy and which one would be suitable for my needs, and I was told the auger set. The poles that come with the net are in fact 8 foot, but it would be impossible to set this net up for a sand court system, for AT LEAST one foot needs to go into the sand. Even with the sand auger set which gave me different equipment than it listed on the website, without placing the poles into the sand, your net system will just swing back and forth and be insufficient. At this time, my players started arriving, and after an hour and a half, I still do not have a net. I drove off shore to a hardware store and purchased 2" pvc pipe because the Park and Sun sand manual claimed the poles were in fact 2" - this is not the case. My thought, if they were 2", was to buy 2 foot pvc and connect with a pvc couplet to the existing poles, but when I finally got back down to the beach (one hour later) and went to connect the two pieces, the park and sun poles slid right through the 2" pvc, confirming that they are not 2" like it claims to be.With many parents outraged about spending money and wasting their time, I have received a lot of negative feedback about the camp that I was trying to run, which will inevitably carry into the school year, and I could not be more hurt for I spent $300 of my own money to get ridiculed. I'm sure I should have went to the beach earlier to set it up, but after a Park & Sun customer service representative guaranteed that this set up would be perfect for what I needed, I felt confident.I do apologize for my negative review, but I just wanted to contact you, so that in the future, your representatives can take this information and use it wisely when informing other customers, so they do not make the same mistake. I would like to return or replace or do something with both the net system and sand kit auger system because they have been nothing but a headache for me, but I do believe you have some system that would accommodate my needs to which I would be more than happy to give you my business, for I do like your company and will continue to be a consumer; I just had one bad experience, and I hope it can be resolved for myself and for future customers.

augers are great but the old Park & Sun augers were better
I've been using Park & Sun sand augers to anchor beach volleyball nets for over 30 years. The original augers sold by P&S were superior to the ones now available -- they screwed into the ground much easier. Once in, however, augers will never pull out (as long as they are screwed in until the ring is below the surface of the sand) and are definitely much better than digging holes to hold large sand plates. I lost a couple of my old augers and this kit is the only way to replace them. The other things included in this kit (plastic plates for under the poles and plastic stakes with bungee cords for line corners) are cheasy and do not last very long -- a piece of wood under the poles and a 6" steel spike with an attached bungee are much better and will last many years. If I could rate the old augers I would give them 5 stars. The new augers get 4 stars. But because you have to buy all the extra useless stuff along with the augers, I rate this kit as only 3 stars. Unfortunately, there is no other source for sand augers and they definitely are the way to go if you play a lot of serious beach volleyball.

Not what shown on Amazon
I was excited to receive this product as shown, as I have used it before and was very pleased. Unfortunately it arrived without the blue pole disks I was expecting. In their place were two sub-par black 4x4 pole discs that are cheap and not shown on the website. After talking to customer service they said nothing could be done. I was told I could return it, but there would be no guarantee that I would get what was shown on the site, and that I may get the exact same set I am currently holding. This is my first order from Amazon, and my first review. Shame on you Amazon, it could have easily been a five star rating.

Lo mejor para arena floja
Realmente conviertes el kit de la red en un sistema para arena suelta. las anclas funcionan de maravilla y las placas evitan que se hundan los postes.
