Pond ALGAEFIX (64 fl oz) Pond Algae Control - Copper Free - Clear Water

This is the our must have for clean water and healthy environment in our koi pond. I use this the entire season along with one other product ( all seasons pond bacteria) and our pond stays beautiful, clear , and healthy. I use once a week application and that’s it -works like a charm and have never had any problems in 7 years. This is a non negotiable for my pond maintenance- I will never buy anything else. Highly recommend as it has never disappointed.

This stuff is amazing! I have a 40 gallon freshwater tank with lots of tropical fish in it. My tank is well established, but I've been having some issues with algae growing on the tank decorations and on the glass. I do water changes about once a week, I also have a very good quality canister filter. But managing the growth of algae was a major problem. So I bought a bottle of the Algaefix and I used exact as directed on the bottle. Within a few hours my tank was crystal clear. I couldn't believe how fast and efficiently it worked. I'm happy to report that all of my fish are doing very well. This product did not harm them at all. I definitely recommend this to anyone who's having an issue with too much algae growth, just be sure and follow the directions on the amount to use.

Seems to do a good job. Adding more frequently to the fountain, as water's evaporating so I have to keep adding water. So far, pleased with this product.

If you are having major string algae problems - read here! We own a 2000 gallon multi-waterfall pond that sits in direct sun in the front yard. The last 2 years we've been in the house, we've battled with constant string algae. The previous owners had the same issues. If you use Algaefix IN CONJUNCTION with Biosafe GreenClean (another product) you will have awesome results. First thing - everything with string algae is about prevention. Once the "bomb" has started and left un-checked it is extremely difficult to slow down and stop. This product WILL NOT kill and control algae once "the bomb" has started. Well, it might if you dump the whole bottle in per treatment, but that's a lot of money! The hotter it is, the sunnier it is, the worse off you'll be. Your prevention starts in spring. 1st, do a major water change in the pond - I recommend a minimum of 50% if possible. Once changed, begin treating the pond for the first week with Algaefix every 3 days - then after the 1st week, back up to once a week. I recommend the big bottle. You'll need it. The one thing Algaefix does an AMAZING job on is suspended algae (green water) and water clarity. After the first 2 treatments you'll notice crystal clear water. As the dog days of summer approach, you will start to have small patches of string algae appear, here and there. These spots get treated directly with Biosafe GreenClean (see my very-similiar GreenClean review). It will dislodge the algae and make it float, and a simple pool-net (also a handy must-have) will remove it easily. So far this summer, my pond is crystal clear, with very little maintaining at all, where last year, I was literally pulling out 4-5, 5 gallon buckets of green slop every week. Stay on top of it early, and use both products - Algaefix as a constant-maintainer, and sprinkle in GreenClean directly on top of all spots where you see algae beginning to form!

This stuff works. I have a small 40 gallon stock tank goldfish pond that would turn green within a few days of hot summer weather. Started using this stuff and havent had to do a water change since I got it. I did start with a clean pond when it first arrived but I just add 1tsp per week and my water has stayed clear. I do recommend scrubbing any algae that accumulates on the sides or bottom of your pond if possible because it will clear the water but it doesnt remove the green slime on sides or bottom of pond. This isnt a problem for me since my pond is small. Much less work and enjoying my pond more now :)

Maybe I was doing something wrong but this product didn’t put any dent in the algae over growth in our fishpond. Getting a GOOD UV light in a special filter outside of the pond, DID WORK PERFECTLY, but I put in several doses of this liquid product into the pond, as directed, for several months before getting the UV light. During that time I never had any improvement in the algae situation. So I can’t actually recommend it highly.

Remarkable! Works great! Before algae would build up within 3 day- added it to our water feature and even after 1 month there is NO algae- ABSOLUTELY love this product!!!

NOT for koi! DO NOT BUY FOR KOI POND picture of my pond for attention so my review reaches more people. I have a 500 gallon and some change stock tank pond for my koi. I have spent HUNDREDS of dollars trying to save koi that were dying all along from this stupid ass chemical. Went so far as replacing my tank to a rubber one because I was convinced the heat was leaching zinc from my old tank. WHOLE TIME it was this algaefix. I even used this treatment 3 different times with 3 different doses trying to give it benefit of the doubt and playing trial/error because I could not believe a fish safe treatment WITH KOI ON THE FRONT OF THE BOTTLE could be killing my fish. $500 replacing a tank and $200 worth of koi GONE because of whatever toxic bs is in this bottle!!!! The first time, I used the properly measured dose for 400 gallons (I always under measure bc I’m careful about toxicity). All fish dead within 2 hours. The next time (remember I had no idea this was the cause of death) I did 1/2 of the recommended dose (thinking maybe my math was wrong the first time just being careful) 2 fish dead over night the other 2 I was able to save in an emergency tank. Fast forward, I replace my tank with a rubber stock. Move my 2 fish I saved back outside and got 2 more fish. They’ve been fine for the last 2 months. It’s been 110 degrees this week, I’m having a bad algae bloom so About 30 minutes ago I added ONE teaspoon of algae fix to 400 gallons of water and all of my fish are gasping at the surface. 1000% confirmed that this algaefix has cost me $700 and a collective 70+ hours in fish rescue and pond demo. DO NOT BUY IT. I will now spend all night FOR THE THIRD TIME trying to keep my fish alive diluting pond water and using every form of aeration I have for the next 5 hours because of this sorry ass good for nothing company. It works but expensive for ponds

I was really struggling for a couple of months to control an algae bloom using natural barley straw type products as I didn't want to hurt my fish, turtle or plants but it was a losing battle after reading about algaefix and it claimed not to hurt fish and plants if used correctly I decided to give it a try. I saw results the day, after two weeks and 4 doses the algae is all dead and almost all gone, the sludge destroyer I bought with it has done a great job gobbling up the dead algae. It has not harmed my fish, turtle or plants. Great stuff, it works !

Amazing results on just two days. Two months of algae bloom due continuous rain and sunny weather. Never experienced this in with my pond before. Fishes could no longer be seen. Fantastic API Algaefix ... My pond is restored to be crystal clear again.

This product works very well. Fish are very happy and I have a beautiful pond once again.
