To begin.... the package was opened. When I tried to separate the fly traps, it was impossible since they were all stuck together and, needless to say, I got glue all over my hands. I was so disgusted with this product, that I immediately went to return it. I have numerous plants and rather than discard them, I read extensively about fungus gnats on the internet and discovered that a solution of 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide to 4 parts water lightly watered over the plant will serve to kill these pesky flies and prevent them from breeding. Then... I placed my new fly traps from a better source into the plants thus attempting to eliminate those fleeing. It will take a bit more time but the peroxide solution is WONDERFUL ! I urge those who are plagued with these fungus flies to try this. Best wishes to all who suffer this problem.

These are great
I noticed that when I changed my soil in my orchids there were small flies that must have been in the soil. Unfortunately they spread to my other houseplants, I purchased these and was amazed how well they work. I put one in every other plant and check them daily. My first round I had to change some of them in two days because they were full and partly full. Now, there may be 1 or 2 flies on maybe one or two of them, the others are insect free. I also used them on my patio. I was using coffee grounds on in my gardenia plant pot and it attracted small soil flies. That plant I had to change the traps in 2 days. I replaced them and now it looks like my major problem with my gardenia plant is solved. I would recommend these. Yes they are sticky, but if you get it on your hands rub your hands with olive oil and then wash them with soap.

Super sticky aka they work!
The 1 star reviews make me chuckle bc most of them complain that it’s essentially too sticky but that’s what I need them for! I had a pretty bad soil/fungus gnat/fruit fly infestation and tried everything: dawn dish soap, apple cider/banana/cider ipa traps, cinnamon/garlic/lemon drench, vinegar/baking soda sprays, electric bug zappers, wiping down the leaves everyday, Neem oil/pyrethrum/azamax (using a pressurized tank to spray entire plant including underside of leaves & drenching the soil twice/week), tea tree/lemongrass/citronella sprays, 5-6 different types/brands of insecticide/fungus sprays/soaps from the store, baked the soil and repotted all the plants, planted rosemary, lavender, chrysanthemums, citronella, etc. I was getting frustrated (and desperate). What worked for me is a hydrogen peroxide drench for the soil to target roots, diatomaceous earth mixed into the top 3 inches of the soil to target larvae/eggs (even better is to mix into potting soil before planting as a preventative measure), and these sticky pads for the flying adults. I’ve also heard people say burning vanilla lavender candles and using essential oils in a diffuser help ward them off (for treatment and as a preventative measure) but have not tried these myself yet. Idk how these sheets work on other pests but they work for gnats! I also tried other brands including multiple types from stingmon and the ones with the sticks and multiple folded sheets but those were all lack-luster at best. The fly roll ones I got from Home Depot/Lowe’s seem to work too but they’re hideous and I hate having the long rolls dangling from the ceiling or from branches. They’re super inconvenient.

These actually work--and then you toss them!
These are excellent for ridding your pots of those icky little gnats that come in w/ potting soil. The traps aren't for leaving in your pots all the time bc they look disgusting when covered in flies. I used several traps in pots around my small sunroom and left them for a week or two. We immediately noticed a reduction in bugs flying around. I threw those traps away (really gross!) and put out a few more for another week just to see if they were gone. There are very few on the new traps. Also-these are much better than using the extremely sticky white bug trap paper in your pots. The other bug papers are just too sticky and awkward to use (like super glue on paper). These yellow traps are pretty much perfect for the task. No more fruitflies here! I'll be reordering.

Got rid of the annoying gnats/flies! Quickly!
Wow! Easy peasy useful gnat attractors! Had transplanted a big indoor plant and the premium potting soil was very moist resulting in a breeding ground for tiny gnat flies ...no results using other methods, garden bug spray, apple cider & Dawn combo, so ordered these adhesive butterflies! Within the same day of arrival & installing one in the infected pot, I had numerous ‘visitors’ stuck on the ‘butterfly’!Have another in a different pot where I noticed a few gnats and it has attracted a few on it.Worth considering this product. Easy to use, be careful of getting sticky adhesive on your fingers and keep the protective shield on the unused.Update; the package says ‘25 traps in package!’I had only 10 in my package.

HUGE eyesore
These are great at doing their job and are super sticky. I gave them 4/5 because they are huge! They are kind of a big huge eye sore and would prefer using the smaller traps on sticks because they are easier to hide. Also I have a lot of smaller plants and they would not fit into them but great for larger pots

Gooey Mess!
I originally bought the butterfly fly set that I've had extremely good luck using and had actually filled up with knats. They did so well I decided to buy the bird set to try out this go around, if I would have known they were different from the other set I would have not purchased. The butterfly set came with film you pulled off both sides and sticky to the touch but the bird set was gooey like glue. Its messy and not something I'd recommend to anyone.

25 pack?
I've used these traps for a while, and they do well to get rid of fungus gnats. They aren't amazing, but they do work well. I'm giving a low review because I just received a pack of "25" the other day and I noticed today, there is definitely not 25. I used 5 today to replace some old ones....there should be 20 left...not 5. So this was either a return or a mixed up box, I know they also make a 10 pack. Disappointed.
