Bright nice looking light for my home work office

I love this floor lamp. Easy set up and it came with a light bulb so cute thank you.

It’s inexpensive, utilitarian, and attractive. It costs about twice what one torchiere lamp costs, but with the daughter lamp on a bendee, it’s really quite effective and cute. It’s a little fragile and easy to assemble…took me about 20 minutes. Just be careful and patient. Lightbulbs not included. I like it a lot. No remote control.

Lamp works great, light weight so it's easy to move around.

Update Friday, March 5, 2021: I have purchased four of these light now. Two for my Dan and two from my bedroom. Are use them as “towers.” And, I have purchased them through the Amazon warehouse as resales. For the life of me I can’t figure out why people are returning these lights. To me, this has been an absolute steal. These lights are excellent. So, please keep returning them so I can keep buying them at the lower price because I need three more. One for my dining room and one each for my two extra bedrooms. If you are on the fence… You need to buy this lamp. This light is absolutely excellent; a steal for resale price or even at regular price this is a steal.Perfect lamp for me. I have it plugged into a smart plug, and it works perfectly with Alexa. I have this my named “left lap bedroom.” I bought a second one in night in it “right lamp bedroom.” I have them both in a group called “master bedroom lamps.” Thus, I can Ask Alexa to turn them on/off individually or both together. Don’t listen to the negative views on this lamp. Buy this this lamp, it’s a great price for a good lamp. In terms of a plastic shade, this is a good solid plastic. And if you don’t touch it, you don’t even know it’s plastic. This lamp is on carpet and not shaky I don’t expect it to fall. This is a very good buy for me. That’s why I purchased a second one. No, I’m not a competitor or a paid reviewer. Just another Amazon shopper. A pleased one.

I like the way it looks and assembled it is almost sturdy. I own a few cheap lamps of this style and I found the assembly a little more challenging because it has 5 sections (previous ones have three) that you pull a cord through somewhat tightly. The first one arrived with a cord problem. Customer service was great they promptly shipped another. It’s slightly different, the cord leaves the housing in a different place, from the bottom of the base instead of the side of the vertical pole. This seems to make it less stable. It also came with a mystery wrench. The second one assembled properly but the cord had what I think was white paint. It flaked off but the fact that both of these had flaws speaks to a lack quality control. There was also a mystery part that the cord was threaded through that was clear plastic. It now floats around inside one of the tubes. Assembly diagram does not show it or where you would use the wrench. I did find the nut but tightening did not improve stability. I am using it in my guest room although a little nervous about it falling over. As always you get what you pay for but I had slightly higher hopes.

Assembly takes a few minutes. I'm not great at assembling, but I had no problem. It is tall thin and lightweight. You cannot use a bulb that draws more than 60W of power. But why would you want to? Today's 150W-equivalent LED bulbs draw about 11W of power. The main tube is metal, the rest is plastic. I don't imagine it would be stable or sturdy in the face of accidents, children, etc. I use it in a hobby room, and it is very easy to move it around. The base is big enough to be stable and the cord is long enough for my needs - just remember to pull through all the slack cord once it is assembled. A good value.

This lamp lacking a light bulb should be in the title. Nowhere on the product page is it explained that a bulb is not included. I purchased this lamp for one reason as anybody would, to illuminate a space. Why would I expect it to be incapable of this upon arrival?I've never purchased a lamp before so I don't know if this is industry standard, but if it is, that's an issue. The product is advertised as able to produce light so I expect it to do so. It's ok if no bulb is included, but it should be listed clearly as such.Regardless of the quality of this product, which is just ok, it cannot fulfill its purpose. A product must first do what it's meant to do, then the quality can be judged. There's no point in processing a proper judgement if it cannot fulfill its purpose, one star.
