Great update for a Great Classic
i have searched every where for the usual monopoly , but my search has stopped when i saw this oneit has all the great features that the old classic monopoly has , plus new features to enjoy the game really morepro's1) new game style and look2) new features such as the skyscrapers , hazard buildings , bounus buildings , deal/build electronic button3) now you can finish this game in a maximum of 3 hours instead of the very long classic onecon's1) i still think if they just change the money quality it will be a nice touch2) the buildings are still plastic , even though they are designed well they could've made the skyscrapers like the rest of the buildings ( they are plastic and wrapped in paper to show the design of a skyscrapers , instead of molded into the shape and look of one )final thought'si really love this new version over the old classic one , and every one who wants some change in his - monopoly life - he should consider this as a great option , its fun and its for the whole family ( considering im 21 and i still play it )hope this helps

It's fun for mid 30's
My friends and I have played this on multiple occasions. So far I think we all agree it's much more fun than the regular monopoly. It is really nothing like monopoly other than the look and that you are charging rent for properties. It has an obvious learning curve but after playing through a game you'll have it down.It says for 8+. I think it's a little complicated for an 8yr old to pick up and really enjoy. The only two problems I found with it are:1) There aren't enough buildings to have a really long drawn out mega-game. Right when it's nearing the end you run out of buildings and whoever is in the lead pretty much wins by default because you can never catch up. I'd like to get my hands on a second set to beef up the numbers.2) The auctions are ridiculous. Waiting until the buzzer sounds to scream out numbers as fast as possible isn't very fun. We scrapped the gizmo auctions and just do silent bids. Get 2 to 3 turns to write a price on a sheet of paper. At the end whoever has the highest number gets it.Other than that, it's a great game.EDIT: Apparently you can order replacement parts directly from hasbro. [...]

Just different enough from the original that it seems like a hole new game.
This version of the game plays really similar to the original version but is more geared towards development of your properties and has a couple other smaller game play variations. It makes it just different enough from the original that it feels like a whole new game and is just as fun to play as when my grandma first taught me as a wee little one. It also makes it seem a little more contemporary with how the actual market is geared more towards development of properties if that's the kind of thing you may be into.I haven't actually played this with any kids so I'm not sure if they would be able to keep up with the slightly more complex and involved style of game play than the original version, but you never know and kids surprise me all the time. I suspect though, that it may be more enjoyable as a revelation for adults who grew up playing the original; than for kids who would be new to any version of the game.

More complicated than regular Monopoly
Fun. I played this for the first time with two of my sons instead of the regular Monopoly or chess that we usually play. The new buildings are fun, the scoring is pretty easy if you play a timed game (we played for 2 hours and nobody was close to bankrupt). So, fun, I gave it 4 stars because it takes about 30 minutes to go through the rulebook, which is a lot less fun than playing the game.

extremely fun game
Its a nice twist to the traditional monopoly, and the games new rules change the tempo of play. It can run much longer than regular monopoly. I think my longest game was 8 hours, but it flew by. My brother loves monopoly, and all the other versions are the same game but with different themes / names / pictures to them. This is a new version and is fun for beginners as well as seasoned monopoly players.I suggest buying the credit card accessory since it makes handling the money so much speedier and hassle free.

Worth the years of searching!
This item arrived in near factory wrapped condition. All the pieces were sealed in original packaging. My only issue was a slight defect in the board but it’s only a small cosmetic defect. Absolutely impressed to the gills with everything!

Great new spin on classic game!
This 3-D game is so much fun to play-it can be as in-depth as you want it to be and can play forever until completely bankrupt in the millions, or set limits and play a great game in an hour. It takes thought and planning ahead, but simple enough for a drinking game! Pieces and game board are heavy-duty, especially compared to classic game, and much more detailed.

Nice change for Monopoly
There are a lot of different themed Monopoly's out there now. But this is a nice change. This one really makes you work. I bought this for my daughter and she just loves it. She has become a old pro at the old game so it is nice to have something that will give her a little challenge. Over all it is a nice set up. Good for what you pay for. Most board games out there just don't match up with all of the video games out there today. So this makes a good family game that give you good old values plus some new age banking skills.
