I’m looking for 140lbs.** A: This paper is smooth, hot press, 105 lbs. which makes it the most wonderful paper for ink and pencil plus washes with watercolor, and it’s especially good for gouache. I love it! I also love their 140 lb. cold press for watercolor. The heavier the paper the better for using lots of wet stuff. Honestly, I think Etchr makes some of the best paper on the market. **Q: Which is the best for watercolor/painting? There are so many options!** A: Hello! Mixed Media paper is good for a wide range of both dry and wet media! Between the hot and cold press paper, it's based on personal preference! The cold press will absorb more water and paint, allowing you to work more quickly while the hot press is extra smooth and absorbs water more slowly, allowing you to work at a slower pace. **Q: What is the country of origin?** A: Hong Kong but the company Etchr is in Australia and has them made there for them and they ship from Hong Kong which is faster. The paper doesn’t buckle much, but any buckling goes away when dry. It is smooth, not textured, which is what I like. If you like cold pressed watercolor paper you may not like this as much.
