At Least They Look Pretty
Bought this as a gift for my wife. The case looks very nice and the pencils color wonderfully. Unfortunately, many of the cores seem to be broken into chucks. This causes the tips to fall out constantly. She'll remove the broken tip, sharpen the pencil, and start to use again only to find that the newly sharpened tip is already loose.

you have to apply too much pressure to make a mark on paper
These pencils look weird (the back side is half-sharpened and looks ridiculous), but that's just the beginning of the trouble. The lead is way too hard/dry and you have to apply too much pressure to make a mark on paper. Gives me cramps in my hand! Brushes are pretty bad quality too, they live hairs on the paper and are not very precise as they spread too much. The case is nice, and the pencil holder seems ok, but everything else is garbage comparing to other items on Amazon. I'm returning it today.

VERY Disappointed in quality and blendability
I love using watercolor pencils and have a small set, so I was really looking forward to having more colors to work with. However, this watercolor pencil set left me totally disappointed! The lead breaks easily, in fact, three the pencils had broken lead when the package arrived. Apply pressure when coloring - crack - the lead will break. It takes way too much water for the colors to blend - which leaves the paper warped. I am totally disappointed....

My coloring hobby has gotten the better of me...
Very disappointed in these pencils. Based on the reviews, I was expecting much better quality, but it simply was not there. The pencils do not produce a brilliant color in the slightest even with a lot of pressure which becomes tiring. I should have just shelled out the extra money for a better set. These are going back today.

These are w/c pencils in that you can blend the marks, but the color cannot be washed away as with the usual w/c pencils. I use w/c pencils instead of graphite when sketching for a painting because I am a watercolor painter and I don't like to see lines in my work. The case and tools are very good. I switched these pencils with a Van Gough set of 60 I had given my stepmother for use with an adult coloring book. They are great for that purpose. Now she gets more colors and I get to wash away the sketched lines as I paint. 🙂

Good color options, but unusable due to shattered leads in multiple pencils
These pencils did come in the array of colors and the case shown in the picture, and they appeared to be in good condition. As I began to use them, though, I found that many of the leads were shattered. Before I finished coloring one postcard, I sharpened two of them to half- size, and three of them to the point I couldn't hold them to sharpen. The lead broke on most of the others at least once while trying to test the colors. It's a great palette, but not a usable one.In addition, the pigment doesn't spread as well as some of the higher end watercolor pencils, leaving a grainy appearance on the page.

Well built and I lot of colors
Bought these for my granddaughter for Christmas and she loved them. She's turned out to be quite the little artist. She even came in first place at the county Fair
