What a beast!
Heats up lightening fast. Less than 20 seconds to get to soldering two for 24ga wire.Assembly is quick, comes with everything you need. About 2 minutes from box to table.Quality equipment, well made and professional quality compared to my other irons and other "branded" tools.Hands down the best station I've used. Comes with 4 helping hands and LED lighted magnifying glass. Usually extra or you don't get those items with the kit.Extra tips, rosin and tool mat make this professional quality at affordable consumer pricing.Lightweight station and easy to move, and has a long tool cord. Only qualm is the power cable could be a touch bit longer without needing an extension cable or putting the station in an awkward place in the work table.Otherwise, was able to get right to work and solder lots of components with no heat creep or issue.10/10 will recommend to the guys.

Love it
Recently had some trouble with my phone tool kit, buttset clips getting goofy on me, so I needed a soldering set to set them straight. This did the job perfectly. Really love the extra "hands" and the magnifying glass with lights. Only draw back is 110v only, oh well.

Acceptable
The unit itself seems ok and it will do what I need it to do. The outer box that my item was shipped in was intact, but the inner box that contained the actual items, had been sealed and opened by the time it arrived to me. The tweezers are in the package with the solder sucker, but had managed to slide underneath it, initially giving me the impression that they were missing. When I ordered this kit, I saw there were two cans with it in the picture. Since Flux was supposed to be included, I thought that one can would contain the Flux, and the other would contain the brass wool. Wrong.....There was ONE can which contained the brass wool and it was stuck to what appeared to have been Flux at one time, but is now closer to epoxy. It's like trying to stick a soldering iron to a piece of glass, and it will not melt. I had hoped that the Flux would've been more like paste and less like diamond, and now I cannot use the kit without making a 2hr round trip to retrieve $10 worth of Flux. Not too happy about that. My gut told me to order extra Flux and I didn't, so I'm equally responsible. The kit itself is nice, just order Flux to go with it. One thing I found strange was that the bracket that holds your soldering wire came with two screws. The bracket also has two mounting holes in each side and on the bottom. The soldering base only has one screw hole in which to mount the bracket. I can't see an application where you would need to adjust the tilt of the bracket, so it would've been nice to just have two holes in the base, for better stability, instead of having to keep up with that screw. The iron heats up very quickly, which is nice and overall, I guess I'm satisfied.

X-tronix’s Customer Service is worth Purchasing this unit!
The soldering station was great . Temp control was accurate. It comes up to operating temperature quickly. The iron wand is light weight, yet feels solid. The wand cord is super flexible. It worked fine up until I accidentally set the hot iron on its own cord. Obviously, the control board was fried. For a while, I searched for parts thinking that the company wouldn’t be of any help because it was damage from user error. When I couldn’t find a new control board, I decided to contact Xtronix to see if they’d sell me the part directly.I have never in my life dealt with a customer service department that is this good. I sent the email on a Saturday. I had a response first thing Monday morning. As I figured, they wouldn’t sell me the new board to install myself for liability reasons. In the same email declining my request, the representative asked for my purchase date and info. I went ahead and sent her a screen shot of my Amazon order detail page and figured that was the end of it. I receive another email on Wednesday(4 days from my original email requesting the part) stating that they were very sorry they could t help with the part but to expect a delivery a replacement unit in the next couple of days. I thought there was no F’n way they are going to send me a new station. Sure enough, Friday afternoon(6 days from original email) I was opening a box containing a complete , new soldering station and have been using it everyday since. You can’t go wrong with this product.- Jason Burchell, Camarillo, California, USA

Game changer
I’ve never been one to be excited about soldering something because it has always seem like a tedious chore. Little did I know that was just because the soldering irons I had used were junk. This soldering iron gets so hot so fast it blew my mind how much easier soldering was. I put a set of Fishman Fluence pickups in my Les Paul and soldered it all together with this unit. The little pincher arms generated great sympathy for T-Rex when trying to support anything in the guitar body cavity but when working on parts directly in front of the unit they were adequate and appreciated. That little sponge and copper wool worked well for cleaning the tips. The magnifying glass I didn’t really use. I wear cheaters. I didn’t use the solder because I was trying to get rid of some I already had. Overall I am thrilled with the purchase and can’t wait to build and effects pedal now which is something I had wanted to do but the task seemed overwhelming considering my soldering skills. Now I feel capable.

Nice setup!
This is perfect for my needs as a hobbyist and it heats up fast! Very nice adjustments and easy to use. The magnifier and light aren’t very useful, but that’s ok. I didn’t buy it for a magnifier, I bought it for a soldering iron. 😋 I’ll probably get a separate magnifier/light/helping hands set later on, but for now this setup functions quite well in every other aspect.

Absolutely wonderful
This unit should be an example for all manufacturers when it comes to quality. When I was looking for a soldering station, I looked at many cheap brands, but also considered a unit made by Weller, which is much more expensive. After looking at reviews of both ends of the spectrum, I found a video of an old gentlemen using this exact station, and giving it very high praises.I decided to give it a shot, since it was made in the USA and it looked to be made well.I am very glad I did, as I am absolutely blown away by how well this thing is made. Quality, price, warranty (3 years!), features, extras, you seriously should look no further than this station. I wish I could give it a special commendation here on Amazon, something reserved for products that exceed expectations (which is a rare thing today). It heats up very fast, and reacts fast when heat is transferred to the project you are working on. The temperature I have it set to, it is dead on consistent every time. No more burning tips from unreliable temperature fluctuations! The helping hands are awesome. You may wonder why it's attached to the base itself, but it certainly holds it's form when you clip onto what every you're working on. I was hesitant about this before buying it, but now I'm completely onboard, it's really great. The solder sucker works really well. Looks like they use a silver based lubricant, which is nice to see. The only complaint with this, is it comes apart a little too easy (sometimes pressing the trigger causes the whole thing to fly apart), I have remedied this by holding it in a slightly different position. The solder is great, sponge fits snug in the base, the brass cleaner works excellent, and there is a large assortment of tips.I'm extremely impressed by the manual. It reads like proper english, and explains every feature perfectly. The warranty is 3 years! How many companies support their product like that nowadays?Anyways, enough said, buy it already!

Costly but simply amazing.
Finally a decent and crazy fast solder station I don't have to fight with to keep hot but not too hot as to fry things. I set the temp and within seconds the real-time heat indicator slimbs quickly to the set value and stays there. The 4 built-in helping hands are awesome, though the instructions were for a slightly different model with only for 2 so it took a bit to find the 4th attachment hole on the far right. My only issue would be with the magnifier, it's fairly small and whoever designed the lights obviously didn't think about their usage. They point straight down when they probably should point inward to focus on the object which is generally only a few centimetres away. Would suggest an alternate magnifier or light source. Not a deal breaker for me though, as my main focus was on the actual soldering device and the helping hands, which are brilliant for IoT development and general household repairs.

Great machine!
Iron heats up crazy fast, less than a minute to 350C. Easy to set temperature. Included extras are great. Iron is light and confortable and easy to use with a nice and flexible cable. And worth every penny.A few minor complaints:-helping hands aren't great, they don't hold position very well but still do work-Magnifying glass is a bit cheap-The base feels a little light/plasticky.But overall very satisfied.

Nice rig!
For the price, this little unit passed all expectations. I use it mainly for electric guitar wiring. The super fast heat-up is great & it holds the temp accurately. Soldering went from a chore to a pleasure. The holding clips are a bit cheesy but they do the job when I need them. A place to store the extra tips would be useful, but I solved this issue by making a hardwood block that fits in the sponge tray. Drilled the wood block to hold the spare tips. When in use, I set the block aside a put the sponge in the tray. Voila!I've only used it a dozen times so far, so I can't speak to long term reliability.

Fast heating and control
This is a great soldering kit for musicians needing to repair all sorts of cables and some easy replaceable circuitry. The kit comes with everything you need. The soldering iron heats up really fast and ready to use in a matter of a few seconds. I love the ability to control the heat output and the settings can be put into memory. Make sure if you need tips that they are for this soldering kit! Not all tips are the same. The magnifying part is rather small for me and wish it would have been bigger. Overall, a great soldering unit and I am very happy I purchased it for my needs.
